Yeah, right? A Hanz n' Franz sweatsuit?

    Has Wells EVER been healthy?

I think they are doing a very good job checking out the market place. Wells is a RB and we could use a few bodies there.

Besides, his knees seem to be bad so I doubt he gets signed.

We've got two Beanie Wells prototypes in place now, have we not?

How about a change-of-pace back that has been so effective in the past? (Bettis/FWP, Bettis/Zeroue, Bam/McAfee, etc).

We've got enough plodders. Need a thoroughbred.

I don't think the armchair GM's here would mind Gio Bernard, or Barner, or C. Michael. If we can get Beanie or Bradshaw for relatively cheap, we tie them to a week 1 roster bonus or something. Just so they show some initiative; no keeling over in OTAs or camp. May the best 3-4 men win.

Wells is basically the mirror image of two backs already have on the roster hopefully nothing comes of this meeting.

I'd cut Dwyer and Redman tomorrow if it meant Beanie in the Burgh.

    Really?!?
That makes no sense to me. They are all the same type of back with Dwyer and Redman already incorporated into the system. Beanie is a replica of both but with bum knees.
I don't understand the statement unless you are a total OSU homer.?

Yeah, I generally buy most of what Hack is selling but this leaves me puzzled.

Beanie got replaced by about every back that came along in AZ, didn't he? Tim Hightower, LaRod Stephens-Howling . . . they drafted Ryan Williams with a second-round pick in 2011 to replace Wells . . . He's always hurt . . .

I guess it's our turn to sift through the Cards' garbage bins.

Free agent running backs? Either way...it's the FO that's bringing him in for a visit, not Hack. ;-)

I don't really care who they bring in as long as it helps us win. Regarding Hack I meant players in general, he's got a laundry list of guy he wants to make Steelers. I have no problem with it as he seems to do his homework before suggesting we sign a player. I was just cutting up a bit. For some reason the little smiley faces and such are not available to me on my mobile phone or maybe they are and I just don't know. Guess I should use the Lol more often so people know I'm just kidding around?

If you say so. It'd be a little more believable coming from someone else...

Is saying "it would be more believable coming from somebody else" not an insult? Seems like one to me. Not going to waste to much time arguing with you as it's a no win situation for me. Although Jack has his popcorn out and I'd hate to disappoint. Lol!

I'm sure glad Hack not the Steelers GM Beanie Wells hasn't played a full season since he has been in the NFL, no way I would take him over Dwyer and Redman. The solution is to draft a stud runningback instead of these retreads with injury history.
