I really wish tomlin prepared them
Better for the missed block in the back and holding calls in OT

It's a non sequitur than somehow having a losing season now and then would make them more successful in the long run.

I want RPO to know, that I am in no way laying ALL blame on HCMT. There was plenty of blame to go around, no question and I don't need to watch a replay to realize that. Ben was awful; constantly forcing the ball down the field instead of taking what the defense is giving them is just head scratching. Dropped passes. Inability to consistently stop the run. Chicago had 84 yards passing, let that sink in.

Bottom line is, yeah mistakes were made. How much of that is poor, uninspired play and/or mental mistakes and lack of talent is up for debate. I think it's safe to conclude that the head coach and his staff has to share some of the blame, just like deserve credit for a win.

    Parity is real

The Pats needed a last second TD to beat the Texans, their qb got the job done.

If Ben could ever get back to playing somewhere near the level AB plays at, we wouldn’t be talking about whose to blame for a loss

That is a fair analysis. If you would have told me the Steelers would give up 23, I would have felt okay with that because this offense, if reputation is to be believed, should have laid over 30 on the Bears.

But that would be because the win camouflaged the flaws, while this ugly loss lays them bare.

Missed tackles would, I expect, result from suboptimal technique or a failure in discipline/assignment (e.g. like a kids' soccer coach telling them to play their positions and quit converging on the ball!). I'd put at least some of the blame for that on coaching.

Optimistic.. They looked like crap today.. I cannot imagine they will put 44 points up on any team unless they are playing JV team

I'd be stunned to see the offense suddenly play that well, especially because there is a good chance they will be without Gilbert and Foster up front.

They badly need Tuitt and Watt back on defense, but they also need a lot more from their inside linebackers. Shazier and Williams were awful today.

Cinci took Green Bay to OT, Green Bay's QB got the job done.

Ben isn’t elite anymore. Top 3 for awhile, now maybe 10-15 on average
