It should have been easier, but the Steelers just don't make that happen. I'll certainly take it.

 

Good win. Three great defensive performances in a row. Enjoy the bye week, fellas, you've earned it.

 

Huge win keeps us the number one seed over the Pats and KC with a terrible Colts team coming up after the bye week and a good chance to be 7-2 with 5 of the last 7 games at Heinz Field. Plus it keeps the Steelers two games up on both the Ravens and the Bengals and still in total control of the AFC North.

 

Had the change the sheets twice from all that bed wetting I did

 

Dungy says we are #1 in AFC, but I think that is for Tomlin`s benefit he says so.

I`ll give this much. The Lions probably would have beat just about anyone tonight. Stafford was playing his best and they fought like hell. Despite the yardage, our D was outstanding when it counted the most....at the goal line.

 

Previous years we would’ve lost that one. Maybe it’s.... nah let’s enjoy

 

It was a must win for them

 

Everyone tha was complaining about throwing the ball at the end. We had to they had 3 time outs...did you really want to run right into the teeth of the D. We needed a 1st down....and no we didn't get bailed out or lucky. It was a obvious PI and they let enough go already.

 

This is one of the most undisciplined teams in recent history, but they just find a way to win.

If Bell doesn’t have an uncharacteristic fumble, Ben doesn’t overthrow wide open DHB and Rogers catches the easy TD, we win by 15+. It happens.

We are a really talented team that has to stop tripping over ourselves. Still 6-2 with an incredible record on the road.

We’ve GOT to get Gilbert and Tuitt back.

 

I'm gonna need a couple beverages to sleep after that one. Maybe watching baseball will help

Bend but don't break. Agreed about Gilbert- and Tuitt too, but the latter's backup made a huge play tonight.

Someone posted a few weeks ago, that the Steelers were 17-0 when Bell rushes at least 23 times in a game. That is up to 19-0.

 

Defense won us the game and only gave up 15 points but leave this game concerned about the defense again. I thought they had this figured out. Also, worrisome because Lions played like how the Patriots normally play us. Shotgun, 4-5 wide all game. Lions supposedly had a horrible o-line and couldn't get any pressure in Cover 2 and bringing only 4 guys.

 

If we see this defense against the Patriots, Brady will put up 50 points.
