Steelers add a cornerback

Steelers released DE Nelson Adams and signed former Eagles sixth round pick JaCorey Shepherd. With Burns, Golson and Sutton not practicing, they needed another body. Shepherd can also return kicks. Could he make the final 53?

With all the corners going down at least Allen is getting more reps. I really think he is going to be a good corner.

 

Just needs polish.



Still too early to tell though. Even so, he is improving.. even if it is little by little.

 

Oh yeah I agree he's going to need sometime but the potential is certainly there.

 

Ditching a DE who won't make the roster for a CB who won't make the roster. But with the CB injuries, it makes sense.

 

Might as well he seems more like a protect the field Safety type to me ..Not fast enough to play outside not physical enough to play in the slot ...He does have a knack for getting to the ball and breaking up passes...Sounds like a FS convert to me...

Maybe he will get some reps at the Safety spot and who knows?

 

True that I really didn't think of that , but that makes a lot of sense as well.
