Steelers Activate Jarvis Jones, Place Cortez Allen On IR

I was just getting ready to post this. Shazier is back too. It's time for these young guys to prove that they belong and propel us into the playoffs!!!

What happened to Tez a broken finger IRd him? Or are they not done running him over with the bus. I hope I'm wrong but it might just be another case of how we mishandle our young players. I also hope I'm wrong but I have no expectations for Jones the rest of this year. Unless he as able to train and at least keep his strength up somewhat. Oh boy,can't wait for tomorrow......

 

I read in pittsburghlive that Jones hasn't been able to workout for 2 months. He wasn't strong before the injury and now he might be even worst at the point of attack. But we shall see.

 

I hope you're right....but some of the rumblings coming out of practice this week have me worried. He might look ready to go against some guys that don't put too much stock in practicing hard.

We shall see is right. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised but I have serious doubts. Lebeau already said he expects him to be rusty...... If we don't get pressure we are done.

 

I think our offense will click in this game and we will score 31. Our defense with Shazier, Jones, and McClendon/McCullers and Tuitt AND Ike not as rusty will hold Bengals to 24. Which is great considering our D. Bengals will have a better rush day then Pit.

IR for a thumb. Uh Huh. Not a good sign.

 

Maybe it will be a Steeler career ending thumb injury!

 

How much $ will that hurt the team next year if it is true?

 

Unfortunately our roster is already CB depleted, no way we cut him for that reason alone, IMO...

3 Million BONUS in the spring. This team has a lot of work to do after the season. A lot of decisions to be made to effectively get this Defense back to respectability. Besides Heyward, which took far to long to be a starter and Timmons who has a little mileage and a castoff McCain there isn't any player you can hang your hat on. Yes, injuries have proven to be an issue, but when these players have been in game action, they're hasn't been much difference. And the free agent signings have been brutal. I appreciate what Coach LeBeau has brought to the Steelers, his stamp is on the 2 trophy's. But the 3rd trip proved to be the start of the undoing. I have made my feeling about Ike Taylor on several occasions, but, he has been out of game action because of an injury, and what does he do? Start him. Don't ease him back. And the result is a loss. This Defense is a sad state. Maybe the Football God's will look down on this Defense, and make them respectable for the last 4. If Ben and the Offense struggle, the show gets folded up and move on to the next town. Art II stepped into the fold when he said he wanted to see a stronger running game, then the BA style retirement happened. I'm sure after being spoiled for years with a top flight Defense this has to get the fires burning again. Time for a change, a fresh approach.

 

It was me who thought C Allen would have a shot at AJ Green.

 

And you would of been right because Ike had no shot.

 

Can we put Ike on IR too? If need be I'll drive over his foot with my truck. Whatever it takes
