Steelers 2021 Draft Class

Honestly, I don’t know how anyone can be down on this. It’s not what I would have done but those first two picks are HR’s, this offense will be filthy. Two players ranked 1-2 at their positions, that’s awesome. I’m not expecting a big year from PF as the transition to the NFL is a big learning curve for TE’s but the top guys usually give you something. You’ll get 1500 all purpose yards from Harris, he’s going to be a beast and a big weapon in the receiving game for Canada.

Meinerz I think is going to be a monster player, his workout videos are eye popping but he won’t be able to do the things Canada wants. Green is being dubbed the most athletic center in the draft and as his 700lbs squat shows, he’s no lightweight. And his tape is really good if you haven’t looked at it yet. Just a quick 3 minute breakdown here, lots more out there to dig into, go check him out, he’ll be starting some point this season if not right away.




I haven’t dug into Dan Moores film yet but have seen good things written about him.






Love the Roche and Norwood picks, thats some great late rd value. Loudermilk, can look at it two ways, it’s the annual throw away pick that leaves all fans wondering what they were doing or they saw a gem that they felt they needed to move up for and will be a future starter. I can’t see them trading a pick for a depth guy, they see him as a starter, of that I’m certain. Doesn’t matter that he doesn’t fill an immediate need, you’re not drafting 6th rd players for immediate help, you draft for both now and future, he’s the later. No one will care about a 4th rd pick if this guy pans out as a starter.

The punter, I guess they are just trying to scare everyone into fair catching, no way I’m running this back!

Two other things worth mentioning, KC was telling the truth when he said they prefer not to take anyone who opted out last year, not one player was taken.

And the whole class drafted, all are smart high character guys.

Love it on paper, now go and do it on the field
