I love the slow times where odds makers are looking for anything to get people to start betting. I loved how everyone jumped all over the Jets for "some awesome free agent moves that should make their defense just killer" yet when pressed these same people(media pundits) still pick NE to repeat in the East and be odds on favorite to repeat as SB winner. Same thing withe the Colts, Eagles, and strangely the Cowboys

Plenty of other betting going on right now with other sports. Bookies are happy this time of year with March Madness going on. Taking all college homies money that think their team will be the one to beat UK.

The Steelers won't be winning anything if they don't improve on defense.

Tuitt and Heyward I'm not worried about, it's JJ, Shamarko, Shazier, C Allen that need to show up big time. Big questions marks with these guys. ;);););)

Putting negligible thought into it I came up with 12-1. Therefore, if I did this type of gambling, 20-1 would be a good expected rate of return.

I agree with your statement of just win the damn thing, but not with your screw the odds part. I was able to bet $1,000 on the Steelers to win the SB two or three days before the odds changed from 25 to 1 to 20 to 1. So I care a lot about the odds and always have if I have some skin in the game ( a bet ). I don't know if they can win it this year or not but if they do I'll be a lot happier collecting on 25 to 1 than I would be if I were collecting on 20 to 1.

I was in Vegas to watch the super bowl, so I dropped $100 on the cowgirls and $50 on the Steelers.
