Sounds about right, I have been watching the Steelers for a long time this is one
of the few teams I remember that players don't seem to like one another. Maybe I am wrong?

Family members were saying the same thing. These are old members who go back to the 50's watching our boys.

    They left out alot more.
    What about -
    Larry Ogunjobi
    Patrick Peterson
    Chandon Sullivan
    Levi Wallace
    Allen Robinson
and for good measure I would bench Friermuth and Highsmith. They are playing way below their pedigree. Friermuth can’t and is unwilling to block. He is 6’4” 250 lbs and has legs like tree trunks and he is athletic. It’s not about ability but about effort and want to. He is selfish ... no different than Pickens and Johnson. Highsmith has completely disappeared the second half of this season. Why are we paying him what we are paying him. Herbert comes in and immediately gets a tackle for loss. Tomlin will never sit these guys but if he ever wants control of the locker room again and to truly set the “Standard” he would but he won’t.

Y'all do realize they can't replace the entire team in one offseason, right?

That article is not realistic. They actually suggest that there wasn't enough depth at inside linebacker. Any team is going to suffer after losing two starters at that position. The Steelers had three starting inside linebackers until they lost Holcomb and Alexander. If you want to write that Robinson has to go, that's fine, but this idea that a team is going to have three starters for two spots and a fourth guy who is also capable of being a starter just isn't realistic.

I agree. The bottom line is Tomlin for the second time this year said we need to make some changes. He talks a big game in press conferences but never backs it up with action. If he really wanted to regain control of the locker room and set a precedent going into next year he would sit guys like Highsmith, Ogunjobi, Friermuth, Cole, Moore, Trubiscky, DJ and GP who all are underperforming. But Tomlin won’t. For a guy who loves to preach all the bravado and not living in our fears, etc. he does the exact opposite. I knew the extensions to Dj and to Ogunjobi were bad when we made them. Paying alot of money for very average to below average players. Thats not how you build a successful team. When we had Ben Tomlin had a massive margin of error from an X’s and O’s perspective, team building perspective and general coaching perspective. That margin of error left with Ben and now we are seeing Tomlin’s true colors.

I believe it to be close, I do agree maybe 1 year might be pushing it. Steel resolve also
brings more questionable players into the question. Will be a busy off season for our front office.

Debatable, some are acting like kids. They say the frontal cortex isn't complete until 25.

I won't include guys who don't have contracts for next year, but they should look to move on from (either flat out cut or bench) the following players

    1. Allen Robinson - Cut - Money
    2. Mitch Trubisky - Cut - Money/performance
    3. Chuks - Cut - Money
    4. Mason Cole - Cut - Performance
    5. Dan Moore - Bench - Find a replacement and make Moore the swing back up
    6. Kazee/Neal - Cut/bench - one of them needs to be upgraded. Don't care which.
    7. Kenny Pickett - Bench - Not up to snuff. Has averaged 15.9 PPG in games that he has started. Cant win consistently in the NFL with that.
    8. Tomlin/Austin - TBH we should do a full coaching reset. Tomlin and all coordinators. We have a shot to turn it around quickly if done right, but we cant be too afraid to pull the trigger.

The article is spot on, although, if #10 is done, then a lot of the others quite possibly work themselves out.... especially Pickens and DJ..
Once someone has the stones to put a boot in their rear and actually take control of the team, then the other changes become secondary

That’s odd I remember some teams playing a 3-4 and then switching to a 4-3 in the same game. Maybe they should do that

Suffice it to say, no one should have trouble picking ten names off of this roster to get rid of.

Probably easier to say who we should keep. After TJ Warren Boz and the Rookies I find it hard to say any other players should stay. Minkah is having a very down year but injuries played a factor for sure.
