If Ratturds lose before week 17 and Steelers win out, then the Ratturds will lose to the Bungles (on the road and resting with nothing to play for) and finish 11-5. Otherwise, if they are 12-3 going into week 17, with a chance at 1 seed, they will beat the bungles. Steelers best hope is to beat the team they are playing, starting this week with the Bengals.

Having said that, if the ratturds beat the Bengals week 17, they may knock Cincy out of the playoffs and make the Jets the 6 seed. With a weak 3 and 4 seed, the Jets advance to play Baltimore the 2nd week of the playoffs. Jets have been tough in the playoffs, Rex can make it personal and fire his team up while the ratturds get a little rusty during the bye. Of course, this meands the Steelers must beat NE, but to be the man, you have to beat the man!

I like this scenario because I am tired of the talking heads always saying that yes the Steelers have won two Super Bowls recently but they never had to beat NE in the playoffs to do it. (They always want to taint our wins!) I want us to rake it from Marcia and then beat either the Raisins or Jets.

Agree with you. The only game the Steelers played like a championship team was against New England. All their other wins they have were a struggle against inferior competition. :)

Theoretically speaking, even NE is an inferior opponent, there are 31 other football teams, and then there are the Pittsburgh Steelers! :herewego!:

Nah - I'm with you that they may indeed win out - AND be the #5 seed. I have a hunch that the Ratbirds are going to win out as well.

The Steelers won't win the division let alone be the #1 seed. That's ok though, #1 seeds don't always win the Super Bowl.

I agree with you, I really do.

However, if the Ratbirds can lay an egg, and just one egg, and we win out, that is gravy and I'll take it

I for one, I guess, believe that the Steelers can win out and still get the one seed. It seems that I am pretty much alone in thinking that. Houston goes to Cinci next week. Anyone think that Cinci can win that one???? I do! Baltimore has shown us that they can lose to inferior teams but I don't expect them to lost to the Colts next week. I do, however expect that they will lose to either the Chargers or the Bengals before it's all said and done. I don't understand why everyone seems to think that that can't happen? I also don't understand why most everyone on this board seems to think that the Steelers will finish 12-4 without hesitating. Sure, they have to go to SF, but they will have 11 days to get rested and prepared for that game and it will mean more to the Steelers than the Niners, chances are.

I'm calling my shot...........Steelers win out and go 13-3. Baltimore loses to either or both times to SD and Cinci. Houston will lose to Cinci next week. NE will win out as well and go 13-3 and be the two seed.
