O.K., Since all the previous questions have been answered, and I see no new ones, I will throw one out there.
    Probably easier, and more recent...
Who knocked Tommy Maddox out of the season opener in 2004, to usher in the "Big Ben Era"?

Trick question, I do believe he was knocked out of the 2nd game of the season. Ben came in and finished the game against the Rats, then had his first start against Miami in the hurricane the next week. The Miami game was first of 13 in a row, until the last week when Ben didn't start against Buffalo. 15-1 record, the loss was the 1, bringing them to 1-1 before Ben's first start.

Now assuming you meant the second game of the season, I'll go with Ray Lewis

No trick. It was the first game of the season, (I Believe... My memory might be playing tricks on me, about that part, but I don`t think so...)against the Cravens... Just not his first official "start", since he replaced Tommy, but it wasn`t Ray-Ray, that knocked "Tommy Gun", out...
It wasn`t even a linebacker... (I know, because, I did research it, to back up my memory, on the answer..)...
    It was a Craven...
(Ray WAS responsible for ending Mendenhall`s rookie campaign with a broken shoulder blade, tho... )

I`ll have to dig up the link I found, but they said it was Gary Baxter, cornerback for the cravens..
    http://www.pressboxonline.com/story.cfm?id=5742
Dunno how to do a "screenshot", and highlight the part I read, but it`s in there, about 4 summaries down...

who caused the injury, I cant find right now and its too late to dig any deeper.

    Two-Parter:

    1. Dermontti Dawson is now the fourth player from the 1988 draft to be elected to the HOF. Who are the other three?

    2. Dawson was the Steelers' second-round selection. Who was their first?

Think you are mistaken.....Cant think of ANY Members of 84 draft class to make it to hall Other than DD.....The 1974 draft had 4 HOF players in it....Swan...Lambert...Webster and Ham

I have no idea as to the answers to this question, but I love this thread..
I`m gonna guess that the other three members of the 1988 draft were not Steelers... :hmmm:
    As to #2....
Could it have been O`Donnell?! :o

I Dunno... I`m just guessin based on the time frame.... That seems early...
    Maybe Tomczack?!?
Nope, thinkin that was in the past by `88...
Kordell?!?... Naw, that had to be in 90 or later...
Just throwin darts at the board, and hopin they`ll stick... love this thread... :herewego:

I know 2 other HOFers from the 88 draft, cannot for the life of me remember the third (won't say the 2 so as not to spoil someone else's answer).

    Part 2, no idea.
