Steeler game meet up

Not sure this is the right place for this but I'm sure someone will tell me if it's not.

You guys ever tried to meet up at a game?
Back in the long ago, I moderated a really small Steeler site. Met some cool ass dudes, including one CK13. Friends to this day. Anywho, may be too late for this year but an idea for the future.

I'll be at the A&L Tavern in Portland on Sunday if there's anyone in the Portland metro. It's the typical Steelers bar.

 

Well, I guess I was thinking more about meeting at a game but l like where your head is at. I'm in Iowa so I need little excuse to travel and meet someone for beers.

Sounds good. We could also do it like work; meet up on Zoom to watch everyone get drunk and swear at the refs.

 

A group of us from a now defunct board met up about 10-15 years ago. Although our seats were scattered all over the stadium we met up at the strip the night before and tailgated together before the game. It was a great time, although we lost the game.

It's too late to plan such a thing for this year, but we could meet up at a local bar for an away game if anyone's interested.

Not the tires but the hood! He drove it on the last day of school last year and the hood wasn't latched. Flew up on him and trashed the hood. Luckily he wasn't going fast and was able to pull over. Still haven't fixed it yet.....

 

As long as everyone else goes into full on juvenile a-hole mode like I do!

 

Yeah, to do anything large scale it is too late. I'm still kicking around the idea of going to a game this year.

 

I will be a the Steelers/Bucs game in October and the Steelers/Ravens game in December - just an FYI

My son and I will be at the Bills game. I hear that can kind of be a rough crowd. Hopefully lots of other Steelers fans there to hang out with.

 

Years ago I was on a Pirate message board and a few of us in the Philly area went to a Pirate/phillie game. It is funny how you picture a person in your head and then when you meet them, totaly different.

This season I've been offered a chance to see the Steelers in Philly with my golfing buddies. It's the game on Halloween eve. We would be in scary top section. I have not made a decision yet.

Sounds just how my family use to watch the game. We all got together but by halftime most were drunk.

 

With those avatars you tend to put up I think we'd all be scared of you.

 

At 63 I maintain my juvenile attitude and sophomoric humor for such occasions...though letting one slip is far more dangerous without depends handy.

 

I see we play the Ravens twice in 4 weeks. I really hope both are meaningful games for a Playoff spot.
