I honestly think they got so excited by the game plan that worked week 1 against the Bills that they have tried duplicating it time and time again vs teams that they probably shouldn't be. It would definitely account for the 4 man rush vs blitzburg.

I believe the fear of our secondary has a lot 2 do with that.

I knew you couldn't resist. I see you are still living in your delusions. I can only imagine what happened in your latest imaginary conversation with me. I'm starting to become a little concerned about you.

Sorry, but no, you have in no way demonstrated that her report on Haskins was inaccurate or unprofessional. You clearly don't even understand her job. It really is comical that you think you understand it better than I do. By all means, keep going. I can always use a good laugh.

Part of the reason that worked was that they had two quality interior linemen creating pressure up the middle. That ended once they lost Alualu the following week.

That's Mike Tomlin 101. When he had the horses healthy it worked. When Next Man Up can't do the job, he gets a pass because of injuries.

Not saying you are giving him one, but I've already heard that line from some long term media types and we'll no doubt hear it from Rooney again this winter, when he bemoans the fact that we can't stay 100% healthy and that Mike did a great job which is why we're giving him a lifetime extension.

1.25 sacks in a season isn't that great for a blitzing slot corner. i'm not sure why you think that is good.

You follow and quote me all over the board about this Aditi stuff. Gaslight me again about this and you are gone, I have no patience for that. This very thread people can look to see you are lying. Your first reply in this thread even had you doubting the accuracy of her report but then of course you couldn’t help take a shot at board members that don’t like her reporting. I responded to the OP and talked about Aditi only, didn’t even take your childish bait and then of course being the way you are, you quoted my response and started this whole fight.

You are sorry because you can’t follow a simple train of thought. I didn’t say she was inaccurate, I said she was unprofessional for attacking Haskins over it and a reporter called her out for it. He’s more of a reporter than you are, you’re just some rando on a message board claiming to have been one, for all we know you were Eds coffee boy, “hey Ed, want 2 sugars with that”.

You actually think reporters have people getting them coffee? You're funny.

So the Haskins report wasn't an example of her getting something wrong? Okay. Thank you for clearing that up.

Yes they are called interns. I put electronic components in shipping boxes and if I drank coffee there are tons of low level ppl to get it for me.

Now I'm going to stay out of this because it's not my fight but since I'm the OP I feel some responsibility so I will say this @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace has a point.

This was a response to my post that if you took her last few reports together it can be inferred that she is suggesting some of the staff are not happy with some of Tomlin's choices high on that list is Haskins being given a lot of slack. Now you could have responded several different ways to my statement however you took the opportunity to throw a jab at Blast. Just saying.

You think interns are bringing the reporters coffee rather than the higher-ups? Maybe somewhere like ESPN or a larger entity, but not at a local newspaper.

Also, I'm not sure if that was a specific reference to Bouchette, but I wonder if he even goes into an office any more. I'm not even sure he would have gone in all that much when he was reporting on the Steelers for the local papers. Beat writers normally don't have to go into the office all that often.

Regarding the other point, I'm going to allow discretion to be the better part of valor and leave it without comment.

Do the semantics really matter? If so then specificity must be our guide. I.e. Do you really think reporter's have someone whose whole job is to bring them coffee? Instead of you think reporter's have someone that brings them coffee? This is why my father in law who is a former English teacher drives my wife and his grandkids crazy. Are you finished or are you done? It's funny as long as you're not on the receiving end of it.

There is a quote from The Hangover that would be perfect for his response but in an effort to turn down the heat here, I’m going to drop this.

I just thought the idea of a newspaper reporter getting that sort of treatment was funny, especially a sports reporter.

How many slot CBs can get 3 sacks in a game? It was good enough to get Hilton paid, it sure wasn't for his coverage ability.

So I finally watched the clip that was link several times the last couple of days and while a lot of it is pretty straightforward some of it is confusing. Pat says they need to do a better job and that they went off the rails on an inaccurate report. He apologized and said that he respects Aditi and she does good work and has broken a lot of stories for the NFL. The confusing part was after that he several times the there is only two reasons to get this wrong you are bad at what you do or looking to stir stuff up. He never says which or who is stirring it up though but does own his own all day rant on the topic.

But according to Aditi, Butler has never called or designed a defense in Pittsburgh .

That game was a clear example of exuberance run amuck. Guys wanting to be in on the play so much they left their responsibility and got to wave at Cook as he took an angle and ran on by.

Now read it again and maybe this time you will realize there is absolutely nothing in that article that proves her statement wrong.

I can watch the game and see Butler is calling the defense, so Aditi is wrong as usual .

I don't know who this reporter is and I am still doing just fine. You can too. As a test, ask yourself, if this person never existed, would your life be any different? JMO>

Based on what you can tell through a television broadcast, he might as well be ordering a pizza. You are now 0-for-2. Care to take another swing?
