    It was clearly a pick fo fill a need. I was a reach, but his injury was the final blow. He never fully regained his speed.

    They were desperate to give Ben his last shot at a playoff run. No one, Rooney, Colbert or Tomlin seemed to have an eye on the future past Ben

    Thats generally how that goes, teams try to squeeze every last drop out of franchise guys. Unless you are Green Bay.

    Although Steelers did try with Rudolph. Bens reaction to that probably kept them from drafting anymore QB’s while he was with the team.
