I agree completely with both of these statements. This is a huge offseason with MANY changes coming. I would say S&C and Specials Teams need to be replaced.

I think we need to look for a physical player at the WR position and someone else to compete at the starting RB spot, but I would look for those later in the draft. RBs can be found even in UDFA places and Brown was found in the 6th round. I am okay with the 4 we currently have, assuming Plax is brought back, but adding a 5th would be nice. I would look to use Sanders or Rainey in the punt returns for the most part.

I think what we do with the Oline comes down to Foster, Legursky, Starks, and Colon. I think the other 5 are all going to help this team in the future in some way, even if they aren't starters. I would be fine with bringing all 4 of the group above back. I am okay with where we are unless we don't get these guys resigned. I would probably give Colon 1 more year to stay healthy and prove he made the position change fully.

I would like to see Ta'amu and Fangupo both prove they can contribute for us on the Dline. I am okay with a group of Keisel, Heyward, Hood, McLendon (moved to DE), Ta'amu, Fangupo, and Woods as a 7 to start with. We should keep the best 6.

I honestly think either Harrison is too expensive to afford any more. IMO, I think he will retire. Woodley needs to be told to find some explosiveness this offseason because that is the thing he is lacking the most. Carter and Robinson are projects. I am okay with Worilds starting, but it needs to be on Woodley's side as he stinks on the other and I don't think that is what he will be doing. IMO, I want this to be our priority position in the draft...OLB...cause IMO getting pressure on the QB makes turnovers happen more and raises the splash plays. MLB needs to be looked at as well as Foote tends to overpursue.

Like I said somewhere else...I am okay with Troy, Clark, Golden, and Allen as a top 4 at safety, but we need to find a long term option. The CB position I would only address if Lewis cannot be resigned. Between Ike, Lewis, and Allen, I think we have a nice top 3. I am not going to give up on Brown yet as it took Lewis 3 years before he showed ANYTHING and Victorian/Van Dyke I think can both be role players for us.

If you have an offense capable of scoring, or even moving the ball somewhat, our defense is more than required to win games. Plus the last few games they had the splash plays and it doesn't seem to matter. I mean against Cincy they had what? 4 turn-overs and 6 sacks, and we still lost!

I am not sure I completely agree. If the D can get off the field just a little faster and provide us better field position, it would help the O. Of course the same is true the other way, if we stop turning the ball over in our own territory it will help out D. Getting leads would also help us.

I work nights and sometimes, when I get the opportunity, I come here and post. Sometimes I'm more coherent than others! Having reread what I posted I think what I was saying was a little strong. Basically, what I mean by the above is that I feel you need a splash play here and there. Of course, you also need to score points, play special teams and coach. However, I have seen defenses win games. I think, in today's NFL, those games are far and few between but they are there, none the less.

I get what your saying. I look at it like this, it is much like basketball. The good offenses, the really good ones, get some easy points....points created in transition by their D. We didn't get that this year.
