5-0 against winning teams. Nobody else in the NFL can say that.

I have heard this repeated on every talk show today, from media members trying to get on the Steelers Bandwagon this morning. Crazy a lot of these same people had the Steelers finishing last in the Division this year when the season started.

Two games ago, all we heard was "they haven't beaten anybody".

But we're only 3-2 against losing teams. We're doomed.

Pete Prisco believed this team would be one of the worst in the NFL. Well.... guess they don't understand Mike Tomlin coached teams. For whatever reason, Mike Tomlin simply doesn't have a losing season. I cannot explain as to why... but he doesn't.

Now, if Tomlin can win a playoff game or two?! Now we are getting somewhere.

My biggest fear is Tomlin will get us to the playoffs and the team will lose in the first round again. It will be a very very very long offseason if that happens. While it won’t be nothing new, it will certainly become a staple for his career. I almost feel there will be immense pressure for him to win more than any other playoff team by leaps and bounds.

He's a great coach. For some of the same reasons other teams don't have winning seasons....he gets hate because he still makes those teams win, and overachieve , and then get cut down because they didn't win in the playoffs they had no right to be in.

We got tie breakers over Chargers and Broncos. Both of those teams have winning records and are in the playoff hunt. Colts are only AFC team who beat us head to head, so far.

The floor of this team under Tomlin is always .500...The question was if the ceilling was high

It was a bad game but the cowboys were not that bad at this time....They were also on the road and they are much better on the road this year...They are a true joke at home

the question will be: can he win in January. the defense alone was probably going to get us to .500 if it stayed healthy, which when 43% of the teams makes the playoff, gets us close.

LOL.... Now my favorite stat is the Steelers are undefeated in games where they Score No TDs. 2-0.

Silly me, I was telling everyone that I guaranteed the Steelers would lose against the Ravens if they couldn't score a TD. :)

Makes me wonder if the Steelers played the Broncos again how that will go. Looks like the Broncos have got it together a bit more since then.

sometimes we don't know in september if a team is bad or not...Their rookie QB was just awful in the first 4-5 games but he is much better since that time

I'd say the Steelers have got it together since then as well.

    By only scoring 17 points

By playing good defense until the last drive

The cowboys had 460 offensive yards...The steelers defense had been terrible too, thank god the cowboys had a awful red zone offense like this is the case for them all year long or it would been worse for us....The steelers offense had 2 TD on 3 drives in the second half but it was not enough

They were real close to being 9-1, if they recover that fumble caused by Roberts at the goal line at the end of the game.

The Steelers just happened to catch Flacco early in the season, after beating the Steelers he was terrible and looked like a 40 year old QB.

Tomlin teams play good defense, have an excellent kicking game and play conservatively on offense with special attention to not turning the ball over. That kind of approach will win most NFL games. That is why he could win with QB's like Duck Hodges and Kenny Pickett. The only QB who started multiple games under Tomlin and had a losing record was Mitch Trubisky. Mitch lost because he didn't adhere to the most important part of playing QB for Tomlin, don't turn the ball over.

So the Defense without coaching would do this on their own....the same Defense that no matter who we have playing throughout the years is pretty good. Funny....because I watched many of good Defense fall apart when they have different Coaches. Examples: I don't remember the Chargers D being this good last year....or the Jets D being this bad until they fired their coach.
