Does Heath get into the HOF?
I think he does. Hopefully in his first year of eligibility.

    Yea or Nay?
Cannot find the stats, but I did hear on the news that he's top 10 or 15 in receptions and yards for a tight end. Was he great enough or just really good?

    Attention!!!
Nobody comment Bobby's thread. My Miller HOF thread (start the 5 year countdown) is much better.

As good as Heath has been for us, He just doesn't have the numbers of a Tony Gonzales or an Antonio Gates. He could have if he'd been used the same way, IMO.

Calm down bro.. I love Heath but he's no 1st ballot. It's not his fault they never used him properly with PA and in the redzone. Also, he's been neglected the last few years to keep the business boomin. Steelers will get him in eventually for his loyalty to the franchise.

    He deserves it...

    Doubt he will get it...

They don`t take into account, his blocking downfield, or his clutch 3d down conversions, etc...

He holds some good records, within the Steelers Team Stats,...

    But League wide???

    Not so much....

    HOF Voters like stats....

What Heath did best, doesn`t always show up, in the stat line...

I hope he gets there, and I think he deserves it, but...

    I don`t believe he`s a "shoo- in"...

He might have to wait a while, just like Hines, or Troy...

    Don`t agree with it...

It`s just the reality of it...

    GO STEELERS!!!!:herewego!:

Maybe not the numbers but was an intricate part of two Lombardi's. The consummate professional. A winner. He deserves to get the nod but it may be awhile.

He's just not flashy enough to have drawn the attention. A lot of it is a popularity contest. Workman like guys can be overlooked.

No. He didn't show boat enough, or at all for that matter.

In this day and age you need to score TD's, slam the Goalpost, do triple flips with spins and twists, spike the ball so it smacks the ref, jump in the stands and sign a fans forehead then go to the side line and point at your chest telling the world that it's all individual achievement.

Heath did none of those things so he will never see Canton unless he wants to buy a ticket.

Silently he was one of the best TE's of all time though.

6th in receptions for tight ends in NFL history. Shouldn't that count
True, but I did hear again on the news he's 6th all time in receptions for a tight end. So.....I don't know. He may be one of those guys elected in 2046 that the kids then will go "really? who the hell is that?"

He has better stats than the first TE to make it to the HOF, Mike Ditka, heath had more receptions, more receiving yards, and more TDs than Mike has....He has more receptions and receiving yards than Dave Casper, casper had only 4 more TDs than heath, so stat wise he compares with some of the 8 tight ends already in the hall, today they only want to look at the receiving tight ends like Gonzalez and Gates and hardly look at the contribution a blocking and receiving tight end like Heath brought to the table....

Interesting. I voted "no" before I read the thread, but didn't realise that Heath's stats stacked up that well (as well as the less evident stuff he did in terms of solid, team-oriented play).

I think TE is a difficult position to get into the HOF. But for expert analysts, he has easily been in the top three over the last decade; and a very different beast to the likes of Gonzales.

I hate to say no, because I love Heath Miller. Unless they make a Hall of Good, then I don't think there will be an induction.
