Now that tebow is there drew stanton wants traded i think if we could get him for like a sixth or seventh he could be a solid young back up

No. There's a million Drew Stanton's to pick from. I'd rather bring back Chris Dieker.

 

He injured his elbow in 2009, his knee in 2010 and broke his arm in 2011 - time to say bye bye Byron.

Troy Smith should serve us well for a few years. Plus, don't count out a 5th rounder used on Kirk Cousins from Mich St. I just read that Tomlin took him out to dinner and attended his Pro Day.

Troy Smith was just signed this off season he hasnt been with the Steelers for a few years. And yeah I'd be shocked if Cousins lasts that long...but if he does I'd be happy if they took him.

I'm hoping Smith sticks around after camp. He's more mobile than Leftwich. I've not seen much of this Cousins chap - what's the buzz about him?

 

I like Smith. I remember him looking pretty solid as a starter in Baltimore (he beat us). I don't know about SF though, never saw him there.

 

Cousins had a pretty successful college career and was one of the better QB's in the big 10. He is a smart kid, has a strong arm and is pretty accurate. Now I must go throw up a little.
