Good news is the NFL just passed a new rule yesterday that players who test positive for covid can't be tested again this year.

So, even if Ben were to get the omicron variant the league would not be allowed to test him. Ben is now guaranteed covid free for the rest of the season.

The problem is they said At the beginning of the year no games will be postponed you postponed you play with who you got if you can't field a team you forfeit in the game is canceled

That was their role it didn't matter how many players had anything you played with who you got

The steelers were without Ben couldn't beat Detroit Aaron Rodgers didn't get to play against the Kansas City Chiefs Dot dot dotplay off positioning was on the line… both are losses

Covid needs to be treated like any injury no differet than a hamstring or a groin

So lets complain about other teams when our team is not very good. Oh except the 4th quarter. Best to worry about the titans and let the chips fall where they may.

“We have made these schedule changes based on medical advice and after discussion with the NFLPA as we are seeing a new, highly transmissible form of the virus this week resulting in a substantial increase in cases across the league,” the NFL said in a statement. “We continue to make decisions in consultation with medical experts to ensure the health and safety of the NFL community.”

Previously, the NFL did not plan to move any games because of coronavirus outbreaks. It even said forfeits “could be in play.” But recent developments with the omicron strain of COVID-19 has changed the league’s thinking – as did several outbreaks across the league entering Week 15 of the season.

I agree Goodell is POS but as far as the owners are concerned here is a little tune for ya

The NFLPA president is a Browns player, I bet he used his pull to get the game moved.

We have all probably saw people like Goodell during our work lives. They're career yes men that will kiss any ass they can to reach a position that they are unqualified for. They are amoral, they not only don't care what is right or wrong, they don't even know. What is right in their eyes is doing what their superior's tell them in order to keep the cushy job that they have.

I think people are annoyed by the perceived inconsistency, and the need to change the rules during the season.

I don’t see what that has to do with the Steelers record? It’s frustrating for everyone.

The steelers are a very bad team and even with that a win in Detroit would have them at the 7th seed that's that's the problem with moving games because players are on covid

Something not being talked about is the logistics of moving a game when there were no fans in the stadium and moving games now. How many fans can't make a game on a Tuesday, how many hotel reservations were canceled over the weekend how many flights had to be changed how much money is this costing fans to move a game?

I imagine that had a lot to do with the NFLPA pushing the league to postpone games. I guess the NFLPA forgot its obligation to the players on the Raiders, Seahawks, and Eagles.

I saw on twitter where Raiders fans were complaining about being screwed, a lot of their reservations are nonrefundable they said.

This may sound cold, but I feel you should have to field a team no matter what, even if it is walk-ons.

Might make for a more interesting game, and who knows ... maybe some Rudy's or Vince Papale's out there that make an amazing play to win the game. Give them a shot.

The NFL really can't just force teams to forfeit no matter how harsh their verbiage is. It's about money at the end of the day. Do you make more money pushing the game to Monday or Tuesday, or not playing the game at all?

Does the new rule make any sense to anyone else?

The NFL is so worried about players using positive for COVID that they will move games

That going forward in an effort to avoid game disruption going forward they just won't won't test for it... whew problem solved

Oh wait they will still test but only the dirty dirty unvaxxed players.... and this showing symptoms

Well at least we won't have to read about any more vaxxed players contracting it. Going forward it will only be the unvaxxed players that we are blaming for missing games

The NFL made Denver play a game last season with their three QBs out because of Covid, they said the Broncos broke protocol, they had to start a WR at QB instead.

really makes you wonder... it’s all a bunch of sh!t! There would have been no NFL or any other event these past 2 years with or without attendance period if this was really anywhere close to what we’ve been told or rather mandated to believe it is.
