Tell me one thing, why is it that when we go 5 wide ( no RB in backfield ) Ben gets under the center. I mean what is the element of surprise. They know were passing, so why not just be in the shotgun and see the defense better and get more time to throw. COME ON MAN.

Not quite sure why he's up under center with the five wide set. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing some of that modified pistol formation he was using when his foot was bad. That seemed to work well.

I think your boy BA called a QB sneak out of this formation about 3 games ago on 1st and 10 on our own side of the field...thats probably why. The dude aint too bright!

I believe its to disguise when and when they are not going to throw that bubble screen pass that they go to 3-5 times a game.
The one that Suggs picked off.

I was thinking that the other day. There was a big thing made about the pistol being a "college" formation (like they said about the wildcat a few years ago when it started to get used), but I can't see the drawbacks of using it. I'm not saying we should use it all the time, but it did seem to work well. Can anyone enlighten me as to its drawbacks?
