Like I said. I believe he will start at some point. How well he does is up for debate. I would not have hated seeing him drafted here in a late round

He is 6’ 200lbs. He ran a 5 second forty. He will get run down by most d-linemen in the NFL. He may be throwing ok in camp, his lack of elusiveness will limit his chance of success.

Incorrect.. has good pocket presence.. keeps his eyes downfield while scrambling. Has capable speed when needed. A throw first qb, not looking to run at first chance. A lot of potential.

That’s all good but the days of the immobile QB are over. His combine numbers are his combine numbers. He’s very slow for his size. This isn’t college, you have to be able to escape.

Where do you get he is immobile? Are you going by combine numbers? I watched him play in college every week behind a porous offensive line, believe me when i say he isnt immobile.

You do know, there are combine numbers and playing numbers? Combine has never been the do all end all. You also dont believe if a qb is under 6 ft he will fail, do you? How about the stupendous wonderlic scores some very successful qbs had?

Did no NFL scouts see what you see? The report had him as a back up. Usually a QB either has speed or size, he has neither. He may end up good but, he didn’t test well. You can’t read into a guy moving around the pocket in college. The league is a different story.

I saw Worthy’s combine numbers and I watched him last night. If you blinked, you missed him.

And Justin Fields rated as a starter and a half dozen others that have failed. I respect your opinion. But time will tell. As usual I’m probably incorrect. San Fran couldnt wait to get rid of Jimmy G so they could start Trey Lance, NFL scouts say he is good. How did that play out. Pickett another. I can keep going on.

    Overview

Four-year starter who took more starting snaps at South Carolina than he did at Oklahoma.

Rattler will still flash glimpses of what he showed in his 2020 season as a Sooner but

fails to consistently sustain the type of play that NFL teams look for. He lacks desired height for a pocket passer and doesn't have enough arm strength to beat greedy NFL cover men. He was better than some of his 2023 numbers might indicate, as poor pass-blocking and drop-prone receivers often put him in bad spots. He can scramble and extend plays, but he's not a dynamic runner and needs optimal protection and separation in order to work in rhythm. He needs an offense that can shrink the field so he can operate quickly and find his rhythm. He has the know-how but might not have the tape or traits to inspire confidence in projecting anything more than a QB2/3.

But he may end up being very good. The pro game may fit him. Time will tell.

Do i think Rattler should start right now? No. Im old school let him sit behind a veteran for a year or two to learn the game mentally.
I really wished the Steelers would have drafted a qb this past draft instead of dumpster diving for these 2 qbs we got. Chances are we still need a franchise qb. Wilson definitely not, Fields has a chance after 3 years in league. I just dont think he has the mentality to go along with his athletic ability. Like you said , NFL way more different and difficult than college ball.
