Thing is, Milton's tools and gifts cannot be coached. A roll of the dice?! Sure. The Steelers needing someone to push Kenny?! Most definitely.

Milton won't push Kenny for 2 years. By then we'd have made the decision one way or another.

He was never given his window. That's terrible.

In 2019, Rudolph started 10 games without the benefit of being shackled by Matt Canada's offense. He completed 62% of his passes for 1765 yards. 13 tds and 9 interceptions. In case you weren't around then, most of the board wanted him out and cheered on Duck Hodges. It was his second year, and if you go back to the 2018 draft, the number of people on this board complaining about using a third rounder on him was easily the majority.
He also had the chance to win the starting qb job last year, and back up this year, and he couldn't beat out Mitch Trubisky. Yeah, he played three good games at the end of the season. So did Josh Dobbs. Doesn't make him a starting level qb.

The boys on SNR are saying Spencer Rattler is under 6 foot. They are saying wait to the combine when he gets measured for real.

If Rattler comes in at 5'11" there is a good chance he goes undrafted.

Wow I actually thought he was 6' 1" .How do they see over 6'6" OL?
Yes I know they look for passing lanes.

The Senior Bowl's official measurement had Rattler at 6' and one eighth inches. So he is a hair over 6 feet.

I am going to wait for the official NFL combine numbers.

I also want to see Sweat get on the scale at the combine.

    And, Trotter run his 40.

    This.

Hell, even 4.5 overall is nice. Mid to low 4.4.s would be great though I am not holding my breath on that. 4.6 is doable... but not for this defense as Trotter's height is a detriment in the passing game.

    Translation: he is 5' 11"

No thanks on rattler anywhere in the draft. Dobbs is/was better coming out of college and had no business being drafted either.

allows a lot of sacks. doesn't throw a lot of picks to TD ratio. seems pretty smart. had a good season last year when i watched him.

It's just talk but Edgerrin Cooper is starting to get some first round buzz, he's expected to run fast at the combine according to the talking heads.

Not interested in Rattler at all, at his size he probably wouldn't hold up in the AFCN.

KFP supposedly started last year weighing in at 225 lbs it was reported
By the end of season he was down to 212 and he didn't play after week 11.
The rigors of the season can really wear down these athletes. I have also heard
And watched the great Jack Lambert would finish seasons at 205 from his
playing weight of 225. I would think these lighter weight guys will struggle
In the current NFL with such large men that can run like these guys do.

Rattler had a decent day today at the combine. He was the best in his group at throwing the short and sideline passes but he trouble connecting on the deep go routes that Penix excelled at.

Watching him run at the Combine and he looks like Kurt Russell from the 80s!

Well he made the 6.0 foot mark. I like his deep go balls as the football really exploded out of his hands, but his sideline passes both short and long to me seemed always out of bounds.

It's no surprise that the top three QBs at the combine didn't work out, BUT:
Caleb Williams refused to take part in any testing at all- no measurements, no medicals, no on field work.
    Jayden Daniels refused the measurables.
Drake Maye has 9 1/8" hands, 1/2" bigger than Kenny's but still well below the 9 1/2" minimum most teams prefer.

This draft has a lot of QBs that are extremely mobile and good at scrambling out of the pocket. Most have strong enough arms to make all the throws, but lack the 'mechanics' and or patience once things start to break down or they get moved. Overall accuracy is not that good. I still think many of these QBs are very much on the Steelers radar. I'm thinking this season's QB room will be Kenny, Tannehill, and rookie draft pick.
