Agree. I am pretty lethargic and miserable to be around after a loss.

That's no surprise to me at all. I have to say though, I've gotten a lot better with handling losses this year. I guess practice makes perfect.

I go back to last season when I felt emotionally unattached to the team more so than in years past. The loss of guys like Ward and Smith made it hard for me to look at the team and go excited by the guys on the field. I was happy when they won, more than happy to debate when they lost but even then when the losses came I shrugged and said meh. Just sort of this detachment with this years team as well, celebrate their successes and shrug off the failures without the stomach churning knots of the last seven years or so of serious playoff contention.

Ben came in the bedroom this morning and said "daddy's mad at the SteeWers!" and I just said "yeah daddy is." Someday he'll understand. LOL.

Last year just left a sour taste in my mouth. Our team was dispassionate and played uninspired football. It took almost the entire offseason for me to get excited for football to start again....only to have almost the exact same thing happen again.

After the Titans game I was ANGRY. Since then I've started to laugh the losses off and take them in stride. When you get used to losing it makes every loss easier.

I was just thinking that. I am way less bummed after each loss this season, but I guess maybe because my bar has been lowered at this point. It's generally more of an "eh, well, that sucked now I'm moving on" feeling.

Not surprised at all. The worst part about the a "L" is when it is a night game. If we go down Sunday night I wont get any sleep as I just sit there and stew over things I really cant control. Loosing changes my attitude for several hours.

Well, YEEAAHHH... WE AIN`T USED TO IT!!!!.......
Although, it is starting to become a bad habit... Losing, that is...
I hate to admit it, but it just isn`t affecting me the way it used to...
Maybe that`s a good thing, that I`m growing up, and getting more mature,
And that people`s talks to me have finally gotten thru, about...
"YOU aren`t part of the team"..."It shouldn`t affect you"... "there are more important things in life"..."They are just a bunch of millionares, that drink together, after the games"... ETC, ETC, ETc...
Sadly, I think it`s just because the team doesn` have me confident, and expecting them to win each and every week...
Which is more sad, in a way, because, it means the players probably shake off the "pain" of a loss, even easier than I do, and don`t seem to give a ****...
To me, that is a cardinal sin.
But, then again, I ain`t gettin paid what they are, to play a game.
They seem to just figure, they will latch onto another team, and get paid more money, somewhere else, if it don`t work out here...
(Not all of them, Ben, Heath, Keisel, Clark, and Troy get a pass from me on this criticism, but too many of the players just shrug off a loss, like, "so what? I`m still gettin paid..."... seems to me, to be part of the problem)...
    GO STEELERS!

LMAO!!! Kinda like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop!...
Except, we DO know... It makes their heads swell with pride, `till they pop, the next week, when they lose, like usual, and blame it on the ref`s, and "dirty hits", and anything else except, THEY SUCK!!!... LOL!!!

I admit...this is me too! It becomes meaningless for me until we play again. Fortunately for me, I love to watch the Steelers whether we are in the hunt or not so losing doesn't keep me from being excited about the team.

Let me tell you young pups, that
aging really has made the losses more lets say bearable.I really like to see well
played football something that hasn't happened around here for about 2 1/2
    years. Do you see things
    changing?

Agree Wardismvp that age makes the losses more bearable, and also like to see well played football. But what concerns me in watching this team the last couple of years, I don't see any major changes coming until we have some coaching changes. How many years do you think we can still go as is before the Rooney's make the changes???
