I'm allowed, I'm not on the team. If all goes well we can blow out KC at home and come out healthy...

Has anyone heard what's up with Troy/Gilbert/Mendy? I heard Brown has an ankle sprain and could play next week, but I'd sit him.

Obivously the game against Baltimore is huge. I think if we had all of our RB's healthy, the way their defense has looked this season, we could grind them down all game and keep Flacco off the field. Having a healthy Troy and even Gilbert would be huge. I think Adams has played well for a rookie but having Gilbert on the field gives us more flexibility to exploit mismatches with Heath because he's not helping Adams.

    I can't wait.

You want to sit Adams with how well he's playing and insert a guy who is constantly getting pushed into the backfield? No thanks. They should keep Adams in, he's a mauler in the run game and is pretty good in pass protection too.

Totally agree, what has Gilbert done besides take out half our line. No thanks, I'll stick with Adams, he deserves it.

Absolutely what I was gonna put. No WAY I put Gilbert back out there dude. He's a TOTAL liability. Also we don't need to be looking at any game on our schedule and thinking it's gonna be an easy win. I'm certainly not convinced that ANYTHING is gonna come easy to this team.

Yeah, things are looking sooo much better lately. I wouldn't switch things around too much. Right now I am liking all these guys getting game experience while we are winning. Lots of meaningful time for the playoff push.

We already have our bone headed loss in the books with the raiders. Please don't look past the chiefs. I can handle losses to good team (except the ravens) but losses to bad teams really puts me in a foul mood.

While unlike some I'm not going to fault Gilbert for some injuries/etc...and I do not think he's that bad of a player...he played well last year and has been pretty good this year. Just like when the RBs are all healthy...when the OL is all healthy its going to be a good problem to have. They have been playing great lately. But I think Tomlin says something about not loosing your job because of injury and such. So we shall see...either way one of them will be on the bench, haha...but next year...that could change...with both being starters and maybe Max as the backup...this experience is only going to help Adams either way!

If these guys all step it up could this finally be the end for Starks? They've cut him numerous times. Do they finally sever all the ties with him and move on completely. I'm just curious what you guys think about this.

Unless another quality tackle falls in them in the draft I think Starks has won a reprieve for at least next season and I don't think he will care if it is in a back-up role since he knows given the way things go for this line on any given Sunday he could be the starter. AS far as getting Gilbert of even Decastro in there as they get healthy I say no not unless someone starts under performing. Line Chemistry is a big plus in my book and this line finally shows signs of gelling and working as a unit, you don't mess with that unless you have to ie. playing badly

Our OL did a great job yesterday....and they have for a couple of games now so there is NO WAY I am making changes now!

I'm not even sure I want Troy back at this point, as Allen is playing very well and he's dedicated to pass coverage, where Troy takes some chances and big plays are a rsult.

I agree. Don't change your horse in the middle of the stream. Dance with the one that brought you. If it aint broke don't fix it. If it aint broke don't break it. You catch my drift?

Yeah I smell what you're stepping in, and I agree 100%. There's no need to make any line changes at this time. Especially when it comes to Gilbert.

Also I wouldn't take the Chiefs lightly. Or ANY team for that matter. We can not afford to think that way.

That's what I was saying a few posts up. We need a killer instinct and we shouldn't view anyone as our inferior. We need to view everyone as AT LEAST our equal. The good teams all do this. The Falcons are MUCH better than the Cowgirls but last night after the game Matt Ryan was saying how "the Cowboys are a good football team and we knew this wouldn't be easy". I know that sounds patronistic and maybe is but if we could adopt that mentality. It seems for years there's been teams that we haven't taken seriously and we wound up getting our butts handed to us or come DANGEROUSLY close to doing so.

I agree. I don't want Troy back either if we keep playing defence the way we have been lately. We shut down a very good Giants passing attack yesterday. We are playing well on all sides of the ball, and as long as we keep playing well, Gilbert and Troy can sit on the bench.

Exactly, one of the problems with this line is no continuity, they are finally starting to gel and the results are good. Don't mess with it!

They only cut Starks once...in 2011 (2 yrs after signing his new deal). They brought him back 3-4 months later. Starks has been playing very well the last few years. And I'd still trust him to be a solid starter for another year or 2 even...but I think he is a must to bring back even as a backup.
