no, he did not have a great rookie season, by the passing numbers. he had a GREAT TEAM around him, GREAT OLINE and HOF Running Back. He pulled 4th Q comebacks out of his butt. if you mean great by that, then yes, OF COURSE. but come on man, no more history revision. he only had to throw it ~20 times or so a game because too, he had a top 5 defense to support him. Canada BLOWS CHUNKS. Most of know that and the blame has to start there. the OLINE is patch work being rebuilt and Najee runs like he plays in quicksand. So give the kid a break. this just in: first and 10 next week, we will be handing the ball off to #22

the feel of being able to drive the field with 2 and a half minutes left is cause to keep trying with the kid. he's got some IT stuff. it will get fine tuned for him the more he plays but it may not be always pretty until the experience gets built. i'm not writing the kid off yet. mistakes will be made.

This is also why it’s their fault they let Ben hang around too long. Now our QB will be in his prime, TJ and Minkah will be out of theirs. Their timing of this team was all wrong to begin with.

We have pro bowl level talent in Minkah, TJ, and Cam which will all be a waste.

the offense is extremely young right now. the defense is veteran. the o-line is playing much better, so we have things to build on. we have a young QB that doesn't seemed overwhelmed by the big stage. they didn't win but we hung quite well with one of the better teams in the NFL on the road. give it time.

The '04 team was a sleeping giant... most of the core players on D played in the AFC Championship, 3 years prior in 2001. The "giant" was awoken once Ben started at QB. The offense was stacked at OL, WR and RB. Pickett has an average O-line with inconsistent WRs and RBs. Totally different team.

Things haven't hit rock bottom for Pickett yet, that will happen next week against the Eagles. After that comes a much needed bye and then the schedule gets a little bit easier. I think or at least hope that Pickett will be a much better QB after the bye.

Nobody is saying he’s looked good. We are saying pump the brakes and give it time. Stop acting like a crying little ***** and be patient.

False start and a defensive holding are the only 2 I remember and the holding call was on a play they had made the first down on anyway.

After watching KP I think he has a heck of a lot to think about after every snap. First the play call, having a useless line in front of, that transfers to the play already collapsed and he has to throw to any receiver or throw out of bounds. Ben had all the opposite. And if Ben was trapped he was very hard to bring down. All said he will be fine if not ruined by the coaches.

    He doesn't have Bens OL...But they're hardly useless...When Pickett stinks,It's ALWAYS, EVERYBODY else's fault..

    CANADA...
    OL...
    RB's...
    WR's..
The Sun was in his eyes, to hot, to cold, His Wife bitched him out pregame,His Dog died again......

But NEVER Kennys fault because.........." He's a Rookie "

Could you imagine if Lamar Jackson was the QB of this same team , results would be roughly the exact same

I'm not just saying this(Hell I didn't want to draft Him...I wanted a DB), but outside of the picks....I've seen growth in the little bit of time He's played.....I don't see how others haven't

I’m with you on this one. I didn’t want a QB in round 1, but once we pulled the trigger I was hopeful he’d be the next Joe Burrow. The kid’s accurate and poised and making some throws.

I admit I let myself hope that he’d avoid some of the normal turnovers and other rookie mistakes because he came out as a 24-year old, but I believe that’s what we’re seeing, growing pains.

Growth ? He has 2 TD's, and 7 picks... He's lost 2 games in the 2 he's started with horrible interceptions...

What growth are you talking about
