I really like His movie work....He's gets out of a box, and seems a lot more creative in that setting. He's worked on a lot of movie soundtracks that I Love.

I listen to several Japanese rock bands. These are the instrumental members of the Babymetal band performing in some small gig. The five-string bass guitar player is something.

I'm not familiar with sludgy metal. I saw it was 40 minutes, so I'll check it out when I have time.

Really down tuned(usually) Guitars, and bass ....play like they are in molasses (sludge). Think the slower Black Sabbath stuff. Of course this isn't 100%, but nothing is. I like a lot of it, but ....I like a lot of all music. Except Rap.

I listen to Baby Metal for a short time, and turned My cousin onto it.
I watch a lot of Japanese animation on Adult swim, and always dig a bunch of the instrument parts of theme songs. Some I Like the vocals also, but I don't know what they are saying.

I also watched a lot of Japanese animation on Adult swim, but it seemed to stop and they went in another direction and I stopped watching. Watching anime is what got me into looking at Japanese music. Yuki Kajiura is one of the great anime song composers. If you are having a bad day or just want to relax, how can you beat listening to songs like this from her.

    swing is ****
    jazz is atrocious
modern pop country sucks balls of all sizes

i can still enjoy the intention of the musician even when swayed by a SF label

Nope. When it first was going strong I listened because it was new ,but I couldn't get behind it. Now it's the same exact thing 50 years later.....with just better technology.
It has nothing to do with labels.....
1st .....I don't consider music from people taking others samples, and putting them together with a beat.
Yes some play instruments, but some doesn't cover most.
You can't sing, can't read or write music, can't play a instrument, but I'm supposed to call it music. Never.
Ok....it's music for 90% of untalented people that want to make music.
Yes... some have bands ....that's the other 10%.
You My Friend can like what You want, and I will never hold that against anyone.
    I just don't like it.
    It's the only music I don't like.

I can find songs I like in about any genre, even if I don't like the overall type of music since musician have their own idea and style of music within them.

Since you know Babymetal, the female singers have grown and are now probably slighter older than a high school student, they have blended some branch of rap by bringing in an outside singer into a song. I like the song. I have no any idea what type of rap is. If you skip to two minute mark, rap guy gets going slightly after.

That wasn't a rap song though, but a heavy pop tune.
Oh ....I can find a song/tune here , and there of rap , or anything that I like, or can stomach, but in a whole .....Rap is the only music I can't stand as a whole. Hell CDB used a form of rap in some songs in the 70s.....them, and others.

Nice mystical sound. I like instrumentals and played it while watching world cup. I never heard of a Chapman Stick.
