Who was the lead guitar player at that time??? He had some really cool lines I've never noticed before, and I've heard this song about 7 million times.

I had absolutely no idea. Thanks to the all knowing Wikipedia it appears to have been Roy Nichols. According the page he didn’t tune his guitar. He would bend strings into tune while playing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Nichols

He's always been hit, and miss for Me....., but I could say that about abundance of music. Actually I like this song though.

To be fair, I only gave the album a quick 30 second listen on the way back from dinner on my anniversary where I'm hoping to get lucky. Not the best time to be open minded musically......

Lou reed is what he is. An outstanding lyricist and a rhythm guitar player. Not that there’s anything wrong with that at all. Hell the vast majority of us probably wouldn’t have ever heard of guns and roses without Izzy Stradlin. With that being said if you can’t appreciate the musicianship on that record y’all are broken.

I'm never a dude to say something sucks, well almost never. I can appreciate musicianship, being a musician, but there's some stuff I just can't get behind.

Here's a real interesting on stage collaboration I hadn't seen before headed by Roger McGuinn (Byrds), Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young and George Harrison. There may be others on stage I don't recognize. They are performing one of Dylan's tunes made popular by the Byrds - My Back Pages. The irony being McGuinn's idol Dylan and Petty's idols McGuinn and Dylan all playing together. Classic! :thumbs up:

Not sure who that is but certainly could be. Also, not sure of the event/concert this was but it was 30 years ago in 1992 which coincided apparently with the 30th anniversary of Dylan's first album release in 1962. More amazingly, Harrison is the only one not still alive. Whoops - forgot about Petty. RIP Tom and George.

We used to cover this Dweezil Zappa song from his band Z in a college band I played in. I always liked this one.
