Bet that was great. Mine was Cheap Trick in 70 something. I was a kid that got taken along, or maybe it was Marty Robbins.....:shrug:I can't remember. The 1st actual concert I went because I chose it was CDB in around 84 .

My computer speakers are awful. lol
So I'll have to hear it on something else later, to get the "true sound" for lack of better word lol.

It's old. I recorded that about 20 years ago. The other one is just a year old. Here is a link....because I can't remember what thread it's in. Unlike the other I just sang, and played the guitars...on this I do everything.

Another amazing (prog rock) singer passes on - Gary Brooker of Procol Harum died Saturday. Was fortunate to see him/them live several times back in the 70's. Hard to imagine that it was he and guitar master Robin Trower who started this group in the mid 60's. Here is a live version of the haunting Whiter Shade of Pale in Denmark a few years back, a bit buttery with the orchestra and choir backing him up but his pipes really rip on this version. RIP Gary, been a huge fan for 55 years now. He could have been the 3rd Righteous Brother no doubt.

    RIP Gary Brooker.

This one hurt me. It completely ruined my week. Dude lived a pretty hard core life though. Rest in power! The below story is not for the faint of heart. Crazy road tales with Layne Staley...pink water.

Nothing if You like it. I don't. Nothing more, and nothing less. It's the only style of music I don't like. Period. In the late 80s, and early 90s I did, but instead of progressing...it has stayed the same...except for the technology. Otherwise the same.
I knew a funk band back in the day I use 2 hang with called Uranus Show Band(all black guys, and women), and I use 2 ask them what they thought of Rap. They said How can it last .....they can't sing, can't read ,and write music, and can't play....how could it last.
I said don't doubt the ignorance of the mob. LoL.
Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) said : You Will Never Go Broke Appealingly to the Lowest Common Denominator. LoL
No truer words have been spoken.

Hopefully this doesn't open the pandora's box of politics, but this is likely the most relevant song today.
