The Flaming Lips released a 4 cd set several years ago. Their intention was for people to listen to all 4 cds simultaneously.

I like some of the Flaming Lips....I can't say all of their stuff, but quite a bit, but played at the same time....probably not...LoL.
I had a live show of theirs DVR a while back ,and I really enjoyed it. It also had them doing some Pink Floyd.

 

Yeah, I can’t imagine it would sound very good at the same time.

Last time i saw Maiden was a road trip to Charlotte '88. 7th Son tour.
6 people 3 gallons of Shroom Tea
Arrived at hotel as it was kicking in. I carried a half full jug into the room and walked right back out still carrying the jug. The rest was mine wasn't gonna let it go. My friends were fiends for this nectar.
Walking to the boot as a cop pulls around and of course he stops to ask what is in the jug.
I said, " it's tea for the road. Wanna smell it? " Think he saw us pulling in.
Handed it to him , he smelled it and handed it back as i then saw two stems and a cap swirlin in the jug. Dodged a bullet. Glad he didnt drink any.
Walking into the venue Of course we get separated. 2 of the party get hemmed up for smoking a joint before Maiden takes the stage.
We bailed them out the next morning and the one says "Anybody wanna smoke a joint?" He had it in his leg brace the whole night in jail. Cell full of concert goers.

 

Used to have a friend that always had significant quantities of lsd on him. He would get liquid and just soak normal paper, business cards etc and then keep them in his wallet. We got stopped one night and this policeman searched us up and down. Even went through my friends wallet. This policeman was thumbing through paper laced with lsd and had no idea. Always wondered how the rest of his night went.

 

Was never a huge fan, but you can’t deny the musicianship.

 

I'll never get over how young Angus is in this video. I think he would have been about 20 when this song was released, but he almost looks 15. Killer video and song.

 

Sorry My Friend, but I dislike this band probably more than any band I can think of. It's just My opinion....so....it really matters not much at all. LoL

Seriously though, they are nowhere near my favorite, but I have to admit I really like some of their older songs.

As a general rule they bore me to tears. However, there are a couple of their songs that are pretty great

 

That's My problem...they bore Me. When I was a Young teen I liked them, and then about the age of 17 a band I was in played them all the time, and the more We played them....the more I disliked them.

 

I've never Heard them before now. You can tell their German just from the keyboard parts.

 

Like I said before, they've never been one of my favorite bands, but some of the older stuff was great, like the video I linked. I only ever had two albums by them, Back in Black and Thunderstruck, but that was it.

I saw them in concert with some friends in college, and the show was actually great. It wasn't about the music, it was just a fun show. So I had a friend who absolutely hated AC/DC, and I told him how much fun the show was and talked him into going to the see them later that same year when I was home from college. After the concert, he said, "I still hate AC/DC, but that was the best concert I've ever been to."
