He had a decent season last year, I think the reason he might be eligible for it because of how unceremoniously he was kicked to the curb.

Wilson 26 TDs last season is more than the Steelers QBs threw the last two seasons .

Gallup signed with the Raiders, so it's a moot conversation.

It didn't take long for them to go from the ceiling to the floor in their division. Incredibly quick in fact. So far it reeks of last year.

Yeah, but SDOT's range of posting was more limited than @S.T.D 's. SDOT only beat two horses to death.

If he gives them reason to, I'm all for it.

Didn't Denver's offense put up some pretty good points if I remember correctly?

Wasn't it to escape the injury clause?

Wilson publicly alleged that the Broncos threatened to bench him earlier in 2023 if he didn't adjust an injury guarantee in his contract, but Payton has insisted the QB change was purely to provide a "spark" for a struggling offense. Jan 9, 2024

Hearing and greeting to chatter of DK Metcalf.

I am wildly excited about that possibility.

Everybody talks about just winning a Playoff game. If we'd have beat the Bills last year and then lost in the second round I don't think many of us would feel content.

If you guys miss SDOT’s comic relief, go to any Browns forum and read their stupid ****. On this board, we have 85% reasonably intelligent discussion and 15% idiocy. On most Browns forums, the proportions are reversed.
One call that they got right was that most of them felt the Watson trade would not work out.

Denver scored 20 pts, while Wilson threw for 300yds with 1 td and 1 pick

well....I think we would have. If we would have lost to KC or Balt, after a BUFF win, I think we would have been Ok with that.

some clowns think the only acceptable year is a SB win.

that is true if you have been knocking on the door year after year after year.

    that is not us.

a playoff win would be a great next step. with THIS roster, to get to the AFCCG is not out of the Q for 2024.

Tomlin remains a limitation, however, IMO.

Good point. My thing is that nobody comes up to you and says, hey your team won a Playoff game, woohoo, but they remember those Super Bowls.

    Agree about our HC.

This is a problem when this is long the last time you won a playoffs game....7 years now....Longest for the steelers since 1970

Russell's salary for 2024 was fully guaranteed. If he had been injured in 2023, his salary for 2025 would have also been guaranteed. That would have been another $37 million against their cap, and it's pretty obvious they were going to get rid of him. That's why, at least according to Wilson, he was benched.

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/12/29/r...des a clause,for 2025 would become guaranteed.

I predict that the new playmaker that Bryant McFadden spoke of will be Santa Claus. Because everybody talks about him coming, everybody eagerly anticipates him, but ain’t nobody seen him yet. And I am beginning to doubt that he exists.

You are more than likely correct......lol

We are the ultimate armchair managers. It does not matter what the record for the season, playoffs or how close we were to winning the SB. If we don't win the SB, we will always point out the 'what ifs', bad ref calls, bad play calls, bad throws, bad defense schemes, bad routes or whatever else. The one constant is our ability to nitpick the past decisions of the team we all love. And that is what has to remembered....the love. When we are talking crazy crap about how bad any player, coach or plan involving our beloved Steelers was, we are always saying it with love. Except for the Matt Canada stuff. We could not get rid of that loon fast enough. We meant those comments without the love. :)
