Seen this today. Qbs that have been hit the most since week 11 2018.
Don't know why that date for sure, but it is what it is.
    Lamar Jackson 858 times
    J. Allen 749 times.
    Think about that.
That's more than some rbs, and you know the shelf life of most rbs.
    Thought it was interesting.
Make of it what You will.

What are the nature of those hits? Brady was actually sacked more than Ben or in the same ball park, can’t remember but anyway, the point is the hits Ben took were much worse than Bradys.

This was hits period. Not just sacks.

ben was also a large man. he took a beating in the Ariens years. jackson and allen have been sacked around the 100+ range each plus all the runs they have and have been hit on. those start to add up if they aren't sliding down. old ben took a beating for years and he didn't run near as much as those guys do.

I understand that but not all hits are the same. I haven’t seen either Jackson, Allen or Murray get popped a lot. Allen probably gets hit the hardest of those three. Jackson and Murray are pretty elusive.

they will at some point. they all have a lot of sacks, fumbles and interceptions. those are all drive killers too. they can win some games and they can lose some games as well.

I do understand the concern @S.T.D@S.T.D is bringing to light here. However, the major problem I have with the overall hit and sack totals is not the numbers themselves but the situations of those hits and how violent are those hits as a whole. Of the two, Allen better learn how to chuck that ball out of bounds as he is very contact oriented for a QB; like Big Ben was. However, unlike Big Ben, Allen is 235lbs. Big Ben was 245ish in his prime and more stocky overall. Those hits do indeed wear on a player but how violent those hits are remain of greater importance to me. Truth be told, Lamar Jackson, more often than not, seeks to avoid contact rather than crashing his face into it. Allen is not cut from the same cloth as he wants to run people over. However, none of this is entirely the end all, be all answer.

The other biggest reason of their high hit totals is that neither have shown the ability to throw the damn ball away when there is nothing there and elect to play "Hero Ball" instead; doubly so in Jackson's case. Allen will elect to look to extend plays as much as possible and, if need be, rifle the ball in should he find someone. Jackson elects to use his legs more than he should and causes more problems for himself in the long run. He has the abilities to make just about every throw but does not elect to do so.

Overall though, while I do understand the dangers of a Dual Threat QB and how they operate, context has to be taken into account here; summarized in one question.

"What is the QBs next plan of action when plays break down before him after his initial plan does not work?"

This question is far more clear as it will provide a much better set of optics to judge. For this year's QB Class... even including Willis.. there really is not a QB that sticks out to me in a way that scream's "run first above all else" as the backup plan to the question posed above. That said, among the QBs that elect to play "Hero Ball" way too much, Willis is in a tier of his own. Whoever is a close second... is not a close second.

I do hear what You are saying about not taking the hardest shots, but getting hit is still getting hit, and these 2 are getting hit a lot. The body can only take so much. I don't care who You are.
Ben V.S Brady for example. Brady has taken more sacks at times, but Ben has taken more hits, and even with His big a$$ it took the toll. Hell Cam is built like a freaking monster, but about 5 good years is all they really got out of Him, and then continuously decline.
You are going 2 get hit playing Qb. Why make more, and take more???

Allen dishes out more hits, than he takes.
