Probably some of the ones who wanted to cut Cam trade TJ and Pickett was our franchise quarterback

definitely opening the field more for him today. but why that throw, CA was triple covered in the middle:facepalm:

no TO's the rest of the game and we should be OK!

I would like to see him utilized like this a lot more. That was an obvious mismatch and it was exploited perfectly. I don't think Washington will ever be that TE1 type of player, but if he can be a really good blocking TE and be a good red zone threat then he can have a really good role in this offense.

I wrote that he would likely catch one or two passes per game. Yesterday, he caught one.

Well he does have 9 more yards receivng and 1 more catch than Wanya Morris and just as many Touchdowns as Wanya. I truly hope he becomes more involved in the future though.

he caught the most important one, where only a small amount were caught, all day.

    give it and him time.

plenty of time to backtrack on 80, he is talented.

he can and will be.....once the offense starts to resemble an offense.

Russ might be able to do this. right now, it HELTER SKELTER. 2 steps forward , then a penalty , a step back.

it is a mess, again - but most of us expected this. Lots of new and young moving parts.....

He was drafted right where he should have been. The first or second rd would have been a disaster pick.

The argument was he was never going to be the next Gronk or even a large part of the passing game. Yesterday didnt change that but they should have been looking to use in the endzone all along. Maybe he’s just finally improved his game enough for them to do that now. We’ll see.

I'll bet no one had on their bingo card that after 2 games Washington would be leading the team in touchdowns.

He is a talented blocker and his size can make him a mismatch in some situations as a receiver. He has never shown the ability to run a full route tree. Remember, he didn't catch the ball much in college, either. I will never say a player can't get better, but Washington would have to start doing things he has never shown he can do.

Winner. I argued all last year that he was open multiple times, and that the Qb didn't either see Him, or didn't like him. LoL

They need to run some 2 TE sets with Washington and Freiermuth on passing plays. This will open up the offense with the defense having having to cover too much especially while trying to contain a running QB. For the first time in a long time I’m sort of excited to see the possibilities. Of coarse this only goes as far as the Oline goes.

If this is how they intend to use him, I hope he leaves when he gets the chance.

The guy has played in 2 games. I think you need a bigger sample size to see how they will be using him.

Have you ever noticed how many times Kelce runs in a straight line 15 yards, turns around and no one is within five yards of him in any direction. This kid could do some damage in a real offense.

I think between last year and what we have seen so far this season, we know.

Yep, straight ahead 10 or 15 yards. Defenses must know that, but for whatever reason he's usually wide open. If Muth or Washington tried that almost every time, they'd be covered like a blanket. Seems to only work for Kelce

Gronk was bigger than most slot corners covering him so they just tossed the ball a little higher

No reason you can’t do the same with Washington

It stands to reason that a 5'10-6'0 corner shouldn't be able to cover a 6'7 TE if you throw the ball up high enough. That's why I don't understand why they don't throw to Washington more, especially in the red zone. Hopefully, last week was a preview of things to come

Gronkowski was more athletic than Washington. He was better at making contested catches. It also takes tremendous accuracy to put the ball in a spot where only Washington can get his hands on it. Fields managed that on the touchdown, but can you count on him to do it consistently?
