    Nuthin major here,
    Just some offseason filler.
I read a pretty good article about Batch, and thought I`d put it out here...

As with the success of our team, I think we are a little spoiled, that we have had such a reliable back-up for such a long time.
I think we tended to take him for granted, or under-appreciate him, but I for one, thought he was a huge asset to have on the team.
I`m not sure another team will take him at this age, so he might be in for a rude awakening, since he says he`s not ready to retire yet, but I thank him wholeheartedley for his services while he was here.:applaud:
Consumate professional, and great teammate. Glad we had him while we did.
(And no, I don`t think we should have kept hanging onto him as a security blanket. Everyone`s time does eventually come to an end, and I think this was about the right time for his, here.)
    GO STEELERS!

I don't think we took him for granted or unappreciated him at all.

I see no problem with this thread at all. I, for one, try to always honor our seniors. They helped build this country I'll have you know!

Maybe not you(ScottChab), and it doesn`t matter now, but in all the debates about whether we should put in Batch, or Lefty, when Ben was hurt, there were plenty pulling for Lefty.
    Never me...but plenty were...
And plenty were saying they were BOTH too old and/or frail...
I never had that opinion of Batch, but I do believe it was time to move on.
I`m not sure that Brad, or Landry is better, but I do have a feeling that if we had to put Batch on the field this year, the odds are, that his play would show we should have let him go.
I`m glad he got to go out "on top", with a fine performance against the Cravens, as our last memory of him, rather than him struggling to do what he used to.
    JMO;)

I think Grad was a great choice to bring in as a BU to Ben. With any luck he may even be our Garcia for the future.

I would have had zero issue keeping Charlie on the roster with them.

CB could be the QB coach of ANY team in this league and he would be an improvement to that team!!!!

Thank you for your years of service #16!!!!!!
