Some food for thought on tanking Sunday's game for draft position...

I know this is probably moot, because I can't see us laying down against Cleveland with all their injuries...

But looking at the draft last year if we had been in the same position...
    7-9 and we're picking about 13th.
    8-8 and we're picking about 19th.

NFL.com says if the season ended today we'd be picking 14th. I know a lot of people say that's crazy, and like I said I don't see anyway this team lays and egg against the Browns, but we could REALLY use a high draft pick.

Yes it is tough. I'll will be watching and rooting for a win but a loss would help our team next year. Hopefully alot of backups will start and get time to shine and we can find future starters. Be that as it may I could never root for my team to lose so I'll just have to accept a crapy draft pick.

I'm still amazed that the Bengals were able to get a 1st round pick in 2012 and a second round pick this year for Carson Palmer.

Not saying to do this but imagine what the Steelers could get for Big Ben.

You mean like perhaps he could still play in PA - just the eastern part?

I say don't tank, but play some guys who could use the playing time and let the chips fall where they may. That means Worilds, Heyward, Curtis Brown for sure, Ta'amu if he's available, maybe some others. I think those are all guys who have the skills to make it in this league, and just need some more experience and time to show what they can do. Curtis Brown definitely needs it.
