Considering what got Gruden in trouble, Art II would never touch him.

Tomlin is no beta, Youd just have two alphas butting heads.

I havent heard anything about this but Tomlin does love those second chances and they are friends.

    Not very likely though.

Oh it will never happen in this day in age because of cancel culture. 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) chances only occur for criminals.

Until his behind the scenes rhetoric I used to think he was a great football personality with his scowl and hot takes on the game from the booth. But *his* teams were never very great imo.

He won with Dungee’s team and TD went on to create another juggernaut in another city. Gruden…. All personality and hype that flames out.

Maybe he could be a good coordinator, but I’d prefer some offensive mind that is fresh and innovative.

Totally fair comment. He'll never be here so the point is mute. I'm in the "anybody but Canada" camp so one can dream.

I wouldn't be interested in the Steelers while he was involved.

I would think every HC enjoys being the alpha male, that's why they're the HC .

What a shame. They'd still play though. I guess you stopped cheering for them when Mike Vick was on the team, right? I mean what he did dwarfs anything Gruden did. You paused being a Steeler fan when Vick was here, right??

I don't know that there are any NFL bylaws prohibiting hiring personal or signing a player that has a standing lawsuit against the league and the commissioner. But even if there aren't, I think the Rooney's would rather avoid negative attention from the league office. I wasn't crazy about them signing Vick. But I think the Rooney's felt that he had paid his debt to society. No matter what, I don't see Gruden coming here for a variety of reasons. I agree with what someone posted earlier and that is the fact that he and Tomlin are both alphas and that might cause problems, for one example.

Oh I agree, I've said it at least 2 or 3 times in this thread that he'll never be a Steeler.

    hahaha!

Dumb private jokes on email are enough for you to quit cheering for the Steelers but putting a dog against a dog and watching one die, meh. hahaha! Get out of here.

Private jokes? Man, you really are clueless. He called Goodell a "faggot" and said he should never have pressured Jeff Fisher into drafting that "queer" Michael Sam.
Have whatever feelings you want to about the whole email thing but for a person in position of power, such as an NFL head coach, to be so f**king stupid to type these things out and then actually push send is beyond mind boggling.
Despite how ridiculous things get around here, even members of this message board are smart enough to understand what can and can't be written on social media. Yet Gruden couldn't? These aren't "slip ups". They're character flaws.

And oh, it didn't stop there. Vick murdered dogs he owned when they lost through drowning them by dipping their cages into water. He also hung some of them using nylon ropes if the failed in practice. Nice guy.

You're filling in my blanks with your inaccuracies. I never mentioned my thoughts on Vick or emails. Gruden was the question, NO is the answer. I don't need a reason.

I could stomach him being on the team but once he took over as QB I stopped watching, couldn’t root for him, found myself hoping he’d get sacked and thought well this won’t do. So stopped watching. Fortunately it was only a game or two boycott.

Love football and very passionate about the Steelers, spend far too much time on it but it’s not the number one priority in my life.

Warren Sapp caught wind of the rumor and texted both Gruden and Mike T. They both laughed at it, to no surprise.

Sapp said he was scheduling a golf outing with Gruden. Who's going to tell Sapp and virtually everybody that ever played for him that he's a POS? lmao. What a messed up cancel world we live in now.
