everyone knows and agreed that Ben struggles when he comes back and always has. You could see he rust come off in the 4th. Had Coates not dropped that TD we would have been tied. We lost on 2 fluke TDs. I'm tired of everyone knowing something is going to happen and hen flip out when it happens. The arrow isn't pointing down. The defense played well with the exception of a missed tackle by rookie. Green will probably be in the line up next week then good luck putting 3 players on Brown. Up until this point teams have not had to worry about the seam. They figured out roll coverages outside and sit a lber in the middle half of the field. Calm down people. We have the easiest schedule down the stretch and we will still win the north.

Green has been working out just couldn't do football stuff. Just the threat of him going down the seam is going to open so much up. Do you really think teams are going to put 3 guys on Brown with a 6'5" 4.5 40 TE lined up inside or bring the extra corner or safety into the box for that matter.

I take it back... I said earlier that Steelers may not win until Thanksgiving. The Colts are beating the Packers at Lambeau. Steelers will lose on Thanksgiving, too.

teams have more than enough to worry about with AB84 and Bell. Let alone with Big Ben at the helm. All of a sudden L. Green is going to complicate matters, I have some hesitations with that sentiment. Defenses don't seen worried in my view. If he ever plays, (he seems very hesitant) I will wait to proclaim them division champs. Plus I have always said Haley doesn't know what to do with a stud TE. Prove me wrong, I would welcome that...

No I don't think he will fix everything. I also think people are putting way to much weight on the last 3 games.

I watched the Steelers in '03 and '99 seasons when I knew they were gonna lose... until the bitter end. Nothing has changed.

Shotgun handoffs don't scare defenses... Missed home run hits on 3rd and manageable don't scare defenses. If Ben would take what's there underneath they're marching. The slot could run the seam route all day long and leave TEs open underneath all day long. Will Ben take the opportunity? We shall see. Every QB misses open ops every game, but they've been doing it here even with Heath or Heinz for a long time.

Funny thing is, how the D for years has been suspect on the underneath especially seam route as well.

Obviously teams don't have enough to worry about considering the ravens had 3 guys surrounding Brown and the rest one on one and nobody could win their battles. We don't know what Haley will do with a TE that can stretch the field. Has he ever had one that could stretch the field. Im taking these last three games and throwing them out the window. Ben will be fine and sucks coming back from injury. The Steelers will beat the cowboys next week.

Ben's fire is dim. He plays horrible in the eagles game and against miami. Now today, sans the last of the 4th. The game plan was putrid and they should have spread them out more, hurry up. The same up the middle running and they had it sniffed out. No holes. The game plan was to go right at their strength. Then when that didn't work, come out at halftime and do much of the same. Ben should have said lets spread them out, hurry up and get them backing off the box. Nothing. We can't see Pedestrian Ben next week. The Cowboys are real.

Yes because he's too busy playing fantasy games in his head with undersized RB/WRs like Rainey and Archer and Ayers.. I do not doubt that he can utilize one but I will believe it when I see it. Very convenient of you to throw those last three out the window.

Well when you lose your starting an or he is playing injured and then another one of the three you had a total of 9 starters and contributors out its kind of hard to look at those games and take anything away from them one way or the other.

Is SteelersNation really giving up that easily after a loss to a team that will end up on the other side of the division?

For that matter, have we forgotten Green nor Dupree have played yet? Things will get better before they get worse. Yes, this loss is inexcusable and is not even a debate about the overall lack of cohension.

However, as many of us learned throughout the years, one loss does not dictate the season unless there are extreme circumstances soon thereafter. Again, this team can and will get better. In fact, remove Mike's unusual showcasing of tackle discipline and this game is a lot closer.

Artie got his first pick for not just him but all defensive backs of the season.

Keith coached one of his finest games of the season thus far.

Ryan Shazier is back to his kamikaze level ways.

If such positives are anything to take from this game, the defense that was supposed to be a weakness, ia trending upwards. When Ben, Green, and Dupree gets fully healthy, watch out.

Well one thing I can take away is that he doesn't have the common sense to call plays away from running up the middle when it was clearly not working early on. The ****birds are 4th in the nfl against the run. Yes, they are 6th against the pass to counter, but trying to run up the middle consistently was a losing effort. All these weapons at Haley's disposal and now Green is going to turn the offense on its heels....I have some hesitations as I stated earlier.

This... imo way too early to write them off. Tomlinisms aside, feels to me we play stronger into the stretch. Mitchel aside (I know I took sh*t for dissing him a few weeks ago but I still don't like the way the guy plays) the D shows some promise... not like 2008 but still... acceptable. I'm still scratching my head over the intransigence of the offensive play calling. Let's not even discuss the "river dance" on-sides kick... it was worth a try (assuming they were able to pull it off in practice) but man... that's pretty embarrassing (just glad I don't work at my old job were there were a bunch of hardcore NFL fans!)

Yes a threat down the seam opens a ton up. With that threat you have to protect the middle of the field even when we got with a 2 TE formation you have to protect the middle. They aren't going to be able to bring guys into the box or roll three towards Brown. Right now teams can pretty much ignore the deep middle of the field.

no doubt, I just haven't seen it from a Haley offense. In AZ he had Larod-Howlings or whatever his name was and in KC he had McCluster, neither of whom were TEs. I love Haley here and think he's done great, but I'm not going to blindly go into the unknown saying Green is finally going to put this team into the 30+ scoring offenses of the league. I will wait n see.

Unusual?? I beg to differ. He slams his body in with total disregard to form or function. There is no discipline.

Yeah I get what you are saying but I think he has realized the dual threat guys don't work. He seems to use the weapons he has so I hope that continues. From my knowledge he has never had a true deep threat TE.
