So why did Miller retire?

    My wife's cousin that played in the NFL for 17 seasons left while he was feeling good. Matter of fact, that was precisely the reason why he retired. He knew he was pushing his luck and wanted out before he left the game broken. I guess my point is that Heath might have left for the same reason...because he could LITERALLY walk away from the game. With 4 kids under 6 I know I'd sure like to feel like playing with them as they grow!

    11 years, 2 Super Bow wins, setting franchise records and full admiration from teammates and others in the NFL and fans. I'd say he has the right to retire with no explanation needed except to say he thinks it's the right time.

    As much as I hate to see him go I'm far more appreciative of the great career he had. Thanks for the memories Mr. Miller. You will be missed.

    Yeah, I can't see Spaeth starting. He's really an extra offensive lineman more than anything else, and in that respect he's very solid.

    I'd even wonder if Villaneuva is a better catcher of the ball...

    St. Louis cut cook. I think he'd fit in well here and could probably afford us to finally dump Spaeth.
