The coaches say if you keep the carries under 300 per season your not over using a back: In 2013 in 13 games he had 244 carries: In 2014 in 16 games he had 290 carries: In 2015 in 6 games he had 113 carries: And in all of those seasons his average carry was 18 times per game, he had exactly 18 carries in his first game back last week, if he starts toting the rock 400 times plus in a season then he will be in danger of being over used, but so far that hasn't happened, besides, he was injured on a passing play and not a carry..........

Never said he was typical, he's a great running back by any metric except availability. DWill's shelf life was extended by Jonathon Stewart getting half the carries. He's 33 years old but only has 1702 career carries. Unless he's willing to sign a team friendly contract with an average yearly salary less than the tag price, then I would be in favor of using the franchise tag (if he stays healthy and out trouble) to mitigate the risk of a big long term contract.

I agree Glenn.. He is good at drawing penalties and alot of attention. Problem is that attention is almost always negative.

I guess I would go about 75% Bell and 25% D-will. I love D-will, but Bell has a better all around game. Lets face it, Bell is always fresh and a guy might as well get what you can out of him well he is not suspended or hurt. Need to keep the older D-Will fresh for if Bell is out.

I wouldn't mind the franchise tag, but I think we should lock him up. I'd rather have him at his best until he's 30 than worry about his "shelf life" at 33. He is one of the best RB in the NFL and is so versatile. He is definitely the most unique weapon in the NFL.

As long as we keeep the B's together we will have a legit shot at the SB. No need to get cheap. You don't let that type of talent walk on you. It's not very often you draft players like that.
