I don't see the Bills beating the Jags so we're pretty much assured to see them next week. I don't think that is a bad matchup at all. Last time they played Ben, he wasn't really himself, but that all changed. As much as I'm looking forward to seeing the Steelers get another shot at the Pats, I wouldn't be upset to see them beat. The Chiefs have already shown they can beat them and if there was ANY negative to the Ratbirds not making the play-offs it's that they seem to have the Pats number as well.

As far as the whole "we almost beat them" thing, I agree with the idea that almost doesn't count. The positive I take out of that is that the Steelers feel they won that game without their best player. Psychologically, that is HUGE. The Steelers have been the Patriots bi*** for several years, with games really not being even close. They showed they can play with them and that was a huge mental hurdle.

    Led by Kordell Stewart.

People can say what they will about Kordell. He was a Raven-killer... on par with Santonio Holmes. Look up his record vs. Ravens. It's pretty damn good. Too bad his record vs. Jaguars and Titans wasn't as good.

Besides not having Shazier, I would like to be fully healthy throughout the playoffs.

The Patriots were without Hogan, Van Noy, Hightower and Edleman the last game. The Steelers were without AB, Gilbert, Shazier, McDonald and Haden.

Last year's AFCCG they were without Gronk. We were without Bell, Bryant, Wheaton, Ladarius Green and Heyward!

The Steelers have been without at least 3 key players in each of the last 4 meetings vs the Patriots. The last meeting has been the most banged up the Patriots have been with the Steelers equally as banged up.

Besides the last meeting, the Steelers have been much more shorthanded than the Patriots in the previous 3 meetings with them only having Gronk being significant in the AFCCG.

If the Steelers are fully healthy with the exception of Shazier, I like their chances vs anyone including New England.

If we're healthy I don't want to avoid them. Ben's legacy is on the line. Everyone will talk about Brady's legacy, Peyton's legacy and Eli's legacy. When it comes to Ben's legacy people will always say he won Super Bowls without going through Brady.

Ben knows this and may not mention it to the media, but that's not how he wants his legacy to end, nor do I, and nor should any of you!

There is no guarantee that Ben will EVER have another chance of beating Brady in the playoffs. Before last year, he hasn't faced Brady in the playoffs in 12 years.

If anything, for Ben's sake, EVERYONE should be rooting for a win in the divisional round, then taking down Brady in the AFCCG en route to a Super Bowl 52 Championship and not rooting to avoid it.

    Ben's legacy demands it.

Good post and documentation but............I don't know, call me morbid, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if the Pats were plunked before the AFCCCG and the Steelers still made it to the SB. I might even find it comical. Things aren't always fair nor symmetrical in life. Tell me you wouldn't find it entertaining to see Patriots actually showing up to play in the Pro Bowl this year? It would keep Alberto Riveron busy for at least another week.
