In the words of my 8th grade English teacher. "It would be funny, if it weren't so sad. " Nothing humorous about Vance anymore. I put his over—under for the season at about 8 games. At this point put me down for the under.

 

Jesse needs to step up. He has improved but he's not done yet. I have faith in this kid though.

Vance and Ladarius are the greatest steeler tight ends that never were

 

Jesse is the best tight end on the Steelers' roster. He never misses a game or practice. Is he a wunderkind? No! He is just solid and reliable. MacDonald is a flash-in-the-pan player. When he plays -- Oh wow! But you need durability. Jesse has it; Ladarius MacDonald does not have it. The X-man flashes but is hugely inconsistent. The others can't even block the blocking sled!

 

That's what I mean by Jesse needs to step up and take the spot. Then we won't have to worry about VM.

 

Thank goodness all the Steeler's players will magically be healthy, in game shape, and at the top of their game when the first game is played. I just bet my whole farm on it (and another championship). Little does the bookie know, I don't own a farm!

 

The frustrating thing about it is we have a guy with all the tools to do what MacDonald does (Grimble), but he just can’t seem to put it all together.
