    ....our awesome home victories these past two weeks with Ben breaking all those passing records against the Colts and Ravens.....or the back to back home wins coming off of a bye in Ben's rookie 2004 season vs the undefeated Pats (7-0) and the undefeated Eagles (8-0), an NFL record at the time for beating two undefeated teams in consecutive weeks so late in the season (record probably still stands). Steelers were 5-1 and 6-1 when they pulled this off in 2004.

    I think both are equally amazing feats considering that we were marching out a rookie QB in 2004 against arguably the two best teams in the NFL that season versus our collective low expectations heading into the Colts game this year other than the 3 remarkable minutes in the Texans game. I'm just glad the Steelers pulled off both feats but curious about others' thoughts. :hmmm:

    Im going out on a limb here but Ill say not 1/2 of the NFL teams even have 12 passing TDs to date.

    I think the Eagles Pats thrashings were awesome. The Steelers won both those games handily.

    Beating Indy was impressive but this past week against the Ravens wasn't as solid.
    Couldn't get a first down til about 3 minutes to go in the first quarter and Big Ben 3 straight sacks. Game could have really gone either way at that point. The 3 sacks though woke this team up finally.
    My vote goes to the former.

    And as I recall, the game against the Eagles was probably Duce "Stanley's" best game as a Steeler and both he and the Bus had over 100 yds each rushing that day. Also - this two week stretch previewed the eventual Superbowl opponents that year - Pats vs Eagles - Pats won 24-21. That's another peculiar stat as well since we beat both soundly at the mid-season marker.

    The only problem with the rookie wins is the Cheatriots were recording teams signals and that's why we lost the next game to them. Spy gate a-holes.

    Wasn't that the going mantra though?

    "Belicheck and the Patriots don't get beat twice by the same team?" I'll just keep sweeping that under the rug over here....

    According to this nfl.com page,

    Colin Kapernick is 15th on the list with 12 TDs.

    Scroll a little further down you'll see AB @43 going 2-for-2 with 1 TD :thumbs_up:

    For the same reason they have more wins, they started playing offense earlier in the season than we did.

    Did you notice that these last two weeks, Pats and Steelers have scored the same amount of points? But not as big a deal for the Pats, that is, IMHO, because people expect it of them. These last two games put us in the conversation, but didn't put us in the driver seat for #7 just yet. Steelers must capitalize and keep stacking wins.

    Ironic you mention this because in an unrelated story - Mike Vrabel just had his 3 SB rings stolen from his house in Houston and one of the posters to that story says - those 3 rings were stolen twice - first by the Patriots and secondly by the intruder! [IMG]

    And Ben can set a new record this week with most TDs in 3 games, he needs 3 to tie the record and 4 to break it;

    Ben Roethlisberger has 12 TD passes in his last two games; the New York Jets have 12 TD passes in their last 15 games. Roethlisberger needs four passing TDs to break the record for a three-game span (15 by Peyton Manning in 2004).
