didn't want Ben's career to end like that.. at least if we get stomped next week, it ends on the field, not watching TV.

I do not necessarily believe in divine intervention, but there is a part of me that believes that John Madden was sitting his fat, white ass somewhere in the afterlife eating a turducken tinkering with this game so he could be vindicated for the Immaculate Reception.

And his Raiders let him down once again!

    Go Steelers!

It had to come down to the last second of OT didn’t it. Bad enough that watching the Steelers puts me on the edge of a nervous breakdown but now the Raiders

If we had a chance to knock out the Ravens with a FG we are taking that kick.

Of course they wanted to win. but they had 6/7 chances in regulation where 1 play ends the game. Those are some mighty long odds....

Plus by winning, the Raiders gave themselves an ultra short week to prepare for their playoff game.

as if this game wasn't ****ed up enough, my cable went out as jacobs was crossing the 1st down marker.. i didn't know if he broke it to the end zone, if time had run out, if he fumbled.. omg what a terribly amazing game.

Most likely BUT then again, most of us figured the Jags were dead in the water.

More parity this year than any other.

Thing that stuck out to me was Herbert converting 4x 4th and longs. That was impressive.

Collingsworth and Michaels don't want to do that game......

I hope the Steelers refuse to talk to Collingsworth all week. Give him the treatment like the ref in the Longest Yard movie.

You think the NFL will change anything after tonight? This was a dream scenario for the league. All the drama and implications made for a great story and I bet great ratings. What happened tonight is exactly what the league wanted.

Besides, when they make the schedule how are they supposed to know what the standings will look like in week 18?

Can you imagine what talented teams like the Chargers and Colts are thinking? They miss the playoffs and watch Big Ben and the Steelers rag tag outfit limp into the playoffs ahead of them. It's unbelievable.

Very glad we made it to the playoffs but if we did not, I would have been very happy knowing Ben's last 2 games were both victories and watching him walk off a winner!

I guess. But our history vs. Mahommes at KC isn't good just like Colts at Jacksonville.

Well, here's an alternate take on that.

In 1976, late in the season, the Raiders were playing Cincinnati in a Monday Night Game. The Raiders had already clinched and had nothing to play for, the Bengals had a one game lead over the Steelers. If the Raiders tanked the game, the Steelers would not make the playoffs.

However, Madden had the Raiders go all out, they beat the Bengals, and the Steelers won the division the next week. True story. And now, the Raiders won when they did not have to, to get the Steelers in the playoffs again.

Exactly. Was feeling the ONE game I don't need to end in a tie and....

Normally I would've been rooting for a tie for the oddity of it

    Whew

i'm the opposite.. i at least wanted his career to end on the field, with a proper finality, not watching a tv from the couch. when they left the field today, everyone was 99% sure that wasn't the end. if we get blown out next week, so be it.. at least it's the end and he can walk off the field and take it all in one last time. and he ends his career in the postseason, not a failed season.
