Ben misses the next 2 games, and we lose both... Which is def possible. I think 3 games for Ben is the best we can hope for. I would guess maybe AB comes back for the Baltimore game if we're lucky. Cleveland is not the Browns of old. They've played a lot of teams tough this season. I wouldn't be shocked at all if we lose to them next week.

Do you bring Ben back? Or do you not risk hurting him long term, and call it a year?

Let's say we lose the next two. Here's who the other teams in the AFC have...
    Ravens: Chargers, Us
    Bengals: Raiders, Chargers
    Colts: Bills, Lions

It's not crazy to think all 3 of those teams could potentially be 2-0 in the next 2 weeks. That would put us in a real hole for the playoffs.

your leaving out all the 4-6 teams. in 2 weeks all those 4-6 teams could be right there also. Miami, Titans. Chargers, Jets and Bills.

if the Steelers lose their next 2 than they will be in a dog fight. the Browns game is a must win. up till this point it is the most important game of the year. even more important than last nights game. sure beating the Ravens would have been nice, but if the Ravens win out and win the division it doesnt kill the Steelers. the Steelers still control their own destiny and as long as they beat the Browns they will still control it.

the dilema is do we route for the Ravens or Chargers next weekend? if the Ravens win than they have a pretty good chance of winning the division. if the Chargers win than they are right on the Steelers heels and the Steelers better not lose to the Browns.

i just aint too confident that the Steelers with a backup can go into Baltimore and win in 2 weeks. i was hoping they would go 2-1 over the next 3 without Ben, but that pretty much ended last night.

Ben doesnt come back until its safe to do so.. no matter if the Steelers win or lose. I would rather lose a handful of games this year over losing Ben forever.

I agree he SHOULDN'T come back until it is safe to do so...but my guess is Ben will rush himself back before he is 100%. Not dogging Ben...but he obviously wants to get back to help the team. Problem is...if he is not 100%, Tomlin doesn't have the stones to tell him no. My fear is a game in two weeks vs Baltimore reminiscent of the SF game last year.

if the doctors clear him he will play and there is no reason why Tomlin wouldnt let him.

Michelle Tafoia (spelling) said she spoke to Ben and he said he was in a lot of pain standing on the sideline. im sure he was in more pain watching his team lose. if he can play he will play. you can say what you want about him, but there is no questioning his heart when it comes to playing through pain.

10-6 maybe even 9-7 will get you into the playoffs this year. even if we drop the next two which i think we beat cleveland next week we are far from out of it when ben gets back in there. if the defense continues to play the way they are and ben is healthy i like our chances against anybody.

Who are we going to beat in the playoffs? At their house? After last night, I'm just not feeling very confident. Colon blocking the wrong guy, special teams, Wallace fumbling, long injury report. They all get healthy and Ben makes a run, I get it. But right now, I'm just not feeling it.

Agreed. I see a similar result as last season, which just hurts our draft position.

Wait a minute now if Ben was in there last night it wouldn't have even been a football game. Mistakes are going to happen but we lost by three with the statue of liberty playing qb. The defense held the ravens to 200 yards and flacco to 150 and rice to 40 yards on like 20 carries.
