    Definitely 2008. We were downright nasty then. Teams knew win or lose, they were going to take a beating. We've lost that identity and it pisses me off

    Sorry but they don't hit like we used to, rules simply forbid it. They are without a doubt the most physical in todays NFL but they are pansies compared to how we used to play.

    A little steelers bias maybe? Watch Seattle, they hit just as hard as we used to, it's just different. They can't tea off on WR's heads like teams could in past years, but other than that, you can still hit just as hard as ever. Once the WR can protect himself, there are no rules about blowing him up. RB's aren't protected whatsoever.

    Seattle may hit differently than we did because of the rules, but it's not like they don't hit just as hard. Another team that absolutely blows up guys is St. Louis. That damn team can hit!

    No bias, I said it then and I stand by it, the moment I heard about the rule changes I said it would neuter us. I'm not saying they can't strive to be physical within the rules but please, its totally different now. Even when we hit a guy legally, its flagged because it looks violent.

    I was thinking more of the 08 defense than anything. They hit just as hard as Harrison and Clark and Troy. With as big and fast as they are now I'd say the actual velocity that goes in to their hits though is probably worse than anything in the 70s though. The thing they can't do now is like slam a qb on his head like they used to and hit out of bounds and crap like that. They lit people up back in the day too though.

    Man I felt so good when they overturned that play. I hate the cowgirls so bad and I absolutely love seeing them lose.
