In that SB year the Bus ran 110 x for 368 yards. Team sentiment for him carried them to that SB win more than the Bus did.

You realize the O line has been lacking all year, the run scheme has been drawn up by a high school level coordinator, the FB has been out all year. Conner is by no means an elite back, when healthy and given the right packages he is a good back. I like Benny, he is the type that needs the ball a lot to get into a rhythm, and as you say will just keep running until the D hates to see him coming. Problem is we have no consistency from the coordinator. Having the line stacked nearly every play does not help either, there really is no way to judge the running game this year based on all of the above, except to say it is doubtful even the Bus in his prime would have had a great year.

Apparently, yes, it is. I've been wondering about that since Nix went on IR. Clearly, the lack of a fullback has hurt he offense, but they just refuse to fix the problem.

I like all are running backs,we just need the OL
to understand the running game and a OC to know
    how to use them.

Conner is the clear #1 to me when healthy. And JC30 should get the ball 20+ times against the Jets just to show up Lev Bell.

If anything, that would keep Samuels on the bench. Did you see the burst K White had on that one run? That was a nice change, too bad it was only the one time. I'd like to see him get the ball more than Samuels.

Limiting Conner’s carries was fair. But the answer should have been to rotate him and Snell and just keep running. I Don’t care if that meant running into 8 man fronts. There was no reason to try and win a game on the arm of Duck.
