This is the second time I've read this now. I gotta ask, what did Mendenhall have to do to have a great game? He was over 5.5 ypc, and if Wallace hadn't committed a stupid penalty, Mendy would have been over 6 ypc, behind a weak Oline. If that isn't a great game, I have no idea what is. It's absolutely ridiculous the disrespect this guy gets on this site. It's now clear as day that our running game is 100% dependent on him, and people still don't want to give him the credit he deserves.

I agree, it's obvious how much better Mendy is then Dwyer and Redman. The guys first game back and kicked both their asses and I like Dywer and I'm saying that.

Well, I imagine that the difference between very good and great are not dropping the ball on a run for no reason. It's hard to give someone the 'great game' tag when there's a glaring oopsie like that. Otherwise, I'd say he had a great game considering what our backs have been doing so far behind this line, and being his first game back after the recovery.

Well that's fair I guess. It's arguable whether that turns a good game into a great game, I personally don't see it that way, but I can definitely see that side of the argument. I give him a pass for that as it really did seem like both teams were having trouble hanging onto the ball. I think that's why Ben made some bad throws today too, the ball seemed to be covered in ice.

That's really going to throw a wrench into my fumbling stats, next time I argue that he's not a fumbler! Can I put an asterisk by it, and say, "It doesn't count when he's 5 yards away from the nearest defender and he just throws it out of bounds for no good reason?"

Mendenhall played great, and I really liked how Haley used him to get outside that Wide 9....Haley also used the game plan to run the ball up the gut....Make no mistake the Team changed the way the OL blocked those middle runs and it showed for all the RB'S....

This week the spot to run is over RG,if Pouncey and Foster can get some good double Teams to that side we should be able to have a lot of success in the 2 hole....
