That's one way to look at it. Another is that he was apologizing to some and giving others the metaphorical middle finger as he went.

There’s a reason why it feels that way.

Scribe, I'm not sure what else I, or others here, can tell you. I respect your opinion. I respect your being offended at some of the stuff Jack said to you; it was out of line. But you're still in denial over your own behavior. Attacking or mocking a person is personal. Claiming you're "right" when you're simply presenting your opinion of how something may have played/will play out doesn't necessarily make you right; it's you stating your opinion, however well-reasoned it may be.

Time is valuable in life. Time for other activities and the constant rehashing of the same or similar debates/arguments over and over again are reasons why fans in general should probably spend less time on sports forums.

    Enjoy the other activities Jack.

There is no denial at all. I'm not saying that mocking a person isn't personal, though most of my mocking is reserved for the content of what they post, not the person. The distinction I drew was that he did it as he bailed.

I'm just trying to figure out which "personal attack" you found to be so inflammatory. Was it the one you replied to with this?

I mean, that seemed like a pretty light-hearted response to something someone finds offensive. Let's be honest, that's not a personal attack. That is your persona and you embrace it. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Moving on.

Was it the part about having a sad life? I don't know, that seems pretty weak to me. Especially with regards to social media nowadays.

Was it the part about being a troll? Again, that's pretty lame as well. That word gets thrown around here quite often and if I'm being honest, I've thought on numerous occasions you've displayed troll-like behavior.

This is just you doing what you do. Pushing someone's buttons and then crying foul and demanding an apology. I'm sorry you can't see that.

I'm not crying foul at all and I have no interest in an apology. I'm just saying that if you are going to take a metaphorical swing at someone, don't do it while you are running out the door.

Also, no, I don't think it was the post you are referencing. I'm not even offended by what he said, but I certainly don't think it was respectful. I can point out that something is disrespectful without being offended.

It has been pointed out that at times, you've been disrespectful. In this very thread, in fact. You feel that mocking someone isn't disrespectful, regardless of the reason?

I probably get under people’s skin sometimes on here and admit some of y’all can be difficult at times but ya just got to take it with a grain of salt. I should probably take a break from here from time to time but then again I really have no life.

Can you highlight where in his apology post that he took a swing at someone, or even pointed to this being someone else’s fault?

    Wow, read a book huh?
Like I used to tell my students.
Damn books, just listen to what I have to say and never ever try to end a conversation of any kind with me.
    You know Why?

    I think it is salivation.

Like I use to tell my students back in the day

" Don't let your inkwell go dry and lick your quill if it does!! Suck the last bit of juice, I mean ink out of that bone!"

By all means, point out where I wrote that I have never been disrespectful. I'll wait.

    Smart.

Its kind of why I dont post on this side a ton. Everything feels like an argument waiting to happen. I dont live in Pittsburgh anymore so im usually happy to see Steelers fans.... And im in sales, so I dont want to deal with battling/arguing/convincing people more than the 8 hours a day i am required to.

I like reading this side though. Quite a few of you are very insightful.
