    Just saw that one too.

Low risk, low cost signings that could pay off.

Walker is 6'2" and weighs 290 and lead the XFL in sacks. Jones is 6'6" and weighs 320. He's from Notre Dame and has bounced around the league as a back-up tackle.

I don't know that either players has much of a shot at making an impact.

Suh resigned with Tampa, 1 year contract 8 mill. Do not know if that is guaranteed, or with incentives.

    Hey SteelersFanCanada

Can he command multiple blockers for the NT vision I have? Casey Hampton 2.0.

Hampton in today's NFL probably wouldn't play that many snaps, like he did back in his day.

Maybe they will find a diamond in the rough from one of these guys, they also signed a safety from the XFL.

I personally can't remember up until about 5 years
ago the Steelers ever dipping into or looking into alternative
means to acquire/ keep players. I commend them on this strategy
as other posters have suggested who knows you may find that diamond?

Now, if only, they could put a strong draft together. Because, it's definitely needed ... more this year then ever

Hopefully it's not a repeat of 2016, except for Hargrave.

    Hey steelersrule6.

I know, I know (smile). I have been through this discussion a bunch of times here. However, I still think my vision of how to mix and match him with a Javon Hargrave type would work. Get a big powerful body in the mid-rounds of the draft, since we are not getting Billings, to fulfill my order. Then just substitute in and out dictated by how 1st and 2nd downs go. A rookie would be a lot cheaper than Billings. Also, Dan the Man is not worth his salt. I am not sure why he is still on our team.

Well, you never know. Seems once is a while we hit pay dirt with some players no one else wanted. They must have seen something they liked and I'll run with that I guess. Hope you're right.

Well, they either had a choice of do nothing or do something. In our current situation, we highly needed to do something. Actually, we really didn't have a choice. Glad they're doing something that looks like it will make a difference.

Needing Bud's "excellent production" has us scouting the XFL to make up the rest of the roster. Good times ahead.

Because they didn’t sign anybody else. They didn’t sign a veteran tight end, a starting fullback or a veteran replacement for Finney while keeping Feiler, Hilton and Banner. Oh, wait. They actually did sign or place tenders on those guys. Silly me.

I don’t believe this is true. Hampton could collapse the pocket and drive the QB out. That is not a guy you take off the field. Margrave can’t do that. McCullers can’t do that. Therefore they were taken out.
