This is the first time I have posted a thread like this, but I really like this guy, and his transistion to WR.

He is a Pittsburgh area guy, Ben would have a field day throwing to him, and I think he is going to have a long solid career if he goes to the right team.

Bryant and Coates are 2 huge questions marks for me, maybe that can change next season, but Pryor isnt.

This guy has dissed Pittsburgh teams so much over the years - he would not be well received with a homecoming. Next!

He showed enough last year to command a fairly big contract. After AB, that would be a lot of money at WR.

    Unable to.

Having two (soon to be anyway) highly paid and talented offensive weapons is taxing enough..

.. Three would be near impossible.

I'd heard Pryor didn't want to play in Pittsburgh, but I just dug a little deeper. He may now be open to the idea ...

With all the weapons we have at the wr position, this should be the last area we post any sign him threads

On the surface maybe but look a bit closer...

    AB- consistent weapon
Bryant- weapon when on the field but may not stay there, has lost the trust of Colbert
Wheaton- potentially a mini AB but injurys took him out, now FA
Coates- potential a mini Bryant but injury and inconsistent hands
    DHB- Top Speed, Inconsistent hands
Eli- good hands but not speedy or quick , limited production outlook

i agree that we could find room very easily for a new weapon at wr. we are solid but lacking a deep threat. well at least a known deep threat that we can say for sure.

I'm personally not sure that Pryor is any better than what we got. He is big and has okay hands, but not so great that it overcomes his difficulty creating separation due to his lack of elite speed.
