No, just that the Tebow thing in general is getting out of control. The guy is garbage, just don't get all the hype?

Maybe because he is 7-4 as a starter? The guy wins but everyone wants to shut him down, tell him he can't do it and kick him out of the league. Why? Don't blame Tebow because the media is up his ass 24/7, the guys just want to play QB in the NFL. I would love for him to develop into a good QB one day so I can watch guys like Stephen A trip all over their words.

Anybody that wants to sign Tebow is lacking football knowledge he completes less then 50% of his passes. He can't play tight end either 6'3 235lbs enough with crap already.

lol, it's attitudes like this that fans the fire, now he can't play any position. Heath is 6'5" 256lbs, not a big difference, Tebow is big and Im sure he could add some weight. What about Half Back? Can he do that? What about moving to the defensive side of the ball as ILB as someone else here suggested? Can he do that? A lot of people, myself included have a real problem with others telling people what they can and can't do and that is what drives a lot of Tebows supporters, rooting for the underdog. The guy is a great athlete, no one is saying he will be a HOF TE or whatever position but he's athletic enough that he could give it a shot but people like you don't even want him to try.

That's just it 7-4 If he's all that he would have more starts. Tebow is holding Tebow back. I remember another guy who was set on being only a Quarterback, but had skills that could have helped him develop into a bigger star had he been open to playing receiver.

Guy has about 5 years worth of tape that says he can not only play football...but win football games.

    FROM WIKI
At the end of his college career, Tebow held 5 NCAA, 14 Southeastern Conference, and 28 University of Florida statistical records.[SUP][73][/SUP] He was the SEC's all-time leader in career passing efficiency (170.8), completion percentage (67.1%), passing touchdown to interception ratio (5.5 to 1), rushing yards by a quarterback (2947), rushing touchdowns (any position) (57), and total touchdowns responsible for (145).[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][74][/SUP] Among many mentions in the NCAA Division-I record book, Tebow is ranked second in career passing efficiency, third in career yards per attempt (9.33), 8th in career rushing touchdowns, and also owns the record for most consecutive games in which he both threw at least one touchdown pass and scored at least one rushing touchdown.

He has a place in this league.....Heck Kent Graham played 10 years.

What exactly do college stats have to do with the NFL?

Yes, but wins don't tell the whole story. Look at how he won many/most of those games. Huge defensive plays late in games, game winning 50+ yard field goals, etc. If you actually break down the games where Denver won, very few of those wins were because of Tim Tebow. Don't get me wrong, a few times he made a big play late in the game to get a game winning TD, but when that was the only play he made all game long, it's hard not to give the W to the defence.

Tebow is very overrated, and that's saying something because most of the world thinks he sucks.

How many players were cut this weekend in the NFL that had a list of college accomplishments?

Sounds like every argument I get from rivals about why Ben stinks...and his team carries him.

and what do college stats have to do with the NFL......ask the ENTIRE DRAFT PROCESS.....

When a guy does well in college...it gets peoples attention...and all I was saying was when you look at his college and PRO tape..you see a guy who got what needed to be done...done.......and the last sentence was the important part...KENT GRAHAM LASTED 10 YEARS.....Tebow has a place in this league...even if its as a backup.

and I find it funny as well...when I want a Burfict...or to resign a Ta'Amu....all I hear is about BAD PERSONAL CHARACTER...Locker Room Cancers.... Yet Tebow is the EXACT OPPOSITE of all that...and people don't want that either.

Tebow is a good person....a great football player...and an ok QB.....I would embrace him with open arms.

Tebow is a good person yes, a great football player? not as far as the NFL is concerned. He would be a bigger distraction then any of those bad character guys. May not be his fault that the media is in love with him, but it's a problem to people around him.

    LOL. That's almost sig worthy.

I think he not only could learn the TE position quickly (granted, he'd be more of a receiving TE than a blocking one) but he'd do well playing at TE.

I think he'd be a better FB. No one can question his strength, nor his toughness, nor his athletic ability. He's just not a very good QB at the pro level, and he's had plenty of opportunity to prove the doubters wrong.

Ha, just like Pimp Dylan's "We have to lose no more games" thread...

Actually, if the effect is the same, then I'm happy with that.

The point is college stats don't automatically translate to the NFL. It's a classic big fish little pond scenario. He was very good in college; however, as soon as he took the next step(pro) his flaws were exploited. Yes, he played in the best college football conference, but every player on an NFL starting defense is as good if not better than the best player he faced in college. For as bad as Kent Graham was as a pro QB he's still a better pro QB than Tebow. You people sit there and talk about all he does is win, he gets the job done, but there are 21 other players taking part in that. The guy is in awful NFL QB. If his name was Dennis Dixon or any other yahoo with a career 47% completion rate you would be at the front of the pack pitchfork at breast chasing him out of town.

And he would of if Manning hadn't been available. Fact is, he won, went to the playoffs and beat us.

Are wins not the bottom line? Winning ugly doesn't matter as long as you win? And all the other cliches. It's been argued he can't win in the NFL yet he has a winning record in the NFL. It's a team sport, of course other factors come into play but the fact remains he is 7-4.

It shows he is capable of passing the football.

And he will definitely find it, there's no quit in that guy, he'll just work harder.

He may not be a QB in the NFL, that's a dream that may never happen, what's wrong with that?
This guy is a footballer. Put him on the field needing 3-10 yrds for the 1st or score, just try to keep him out!

Find a way to put Tebow in Black n Gold!

Okay, lets assume he can play TE. There's probably still 40 guys in the league better than him.
Lets assume he can play RB. There's probably 80+ guys better than him at that position.

So why do people want us to sign this guy so bad if we can find a player that is actually experienced at the position and better at the position than Tebow? Is it just because he seems to be a good person? That seems like a terrible reason to sign a player.

I have never been able to understand the love for Tebow, and I understand it even less these days now that most people are finally admitting he can't play QB.

I'm not advocating our signing of him. We don't need that kind of distraction.

But I think he has enough raw ability to excel if given the chance at another position. Hell, he'd even be a decent option for a backup QB if he was willing to play a "slash" type role.

    Not saying here, but somewhere...

I mean, it couldn't hurt Minnesota, or Jacksonville for example. hehe

Exactly...I am not saying to sign Tebow...I am saying he is one of the top 64 QBs in the NFL....even if that makes him #64.

and I would take Tebow over Kent Graham any day of the week.

Honestly I would take him over Landry....because if we end up with our #3 QB taking many snaps...I would prefer to have Tebow running for his life vs Landry trying to stay upright.

I've said forever that Jacksonville should sign him because that franchise needs all the help they can get with filling the seats in that stadium. He's a hometown hero and he isn't any WORSE than Gabbert. I have no idea why they wouldn't just give him a roster spot.

I think the owner is holding a grudge against him for choosing the Jets over them. Honeslty, that was a huge f--k up by Tebow, should have signed with Jax.
