I can't for the life of me understand why people keep saying he should play TE. The guy has no history of playing TE. There's no chance that he learns how to play TE at the NFL level, no chance. He has literally the same amount of skills at the TE position as most of us on this board, and some on here probably have more skills than him in that regard. Not to mention he's undersized for a TE. Can you imagine him blocking the top DE's in the league? He probably can't either.

Tebow is a big dude, 6'3" 236lbs, and I doubt anyone on this board has 1/10th of athleticism as him, freaking kidding me, even his biggest detractors admit he is a great athlete. Do you really think that many teams are misdirected on his ability to play TE? They obviously think he can. Come on man.

I'd rather make him a FB/RB hybrid like Peyton Hillis. Imagine him running the rock, which he can do, and every once in a while throwing the HB option pass!!!!

Which team wants him to play TE? All I hear are fans and TV personalities saying this stuff, I don't recall any current coaches or GM's saying anything about him playing TE. In fact, I've heard a lot of analysts say there's no way he could play TE in the NFL. It's not like I'm the only one doubting him. How many guys learn to play a new position in the NFL?

Antonio Gates didn't even play college football and was given a tryout for TE and was eventually signed as an undrafted free agent because of his athleticism and size....worked out pretty well for him.

I was under the impression that Denver, Jets and NE all wanted him to change positions, and I've heard different from talking heads, that if he wants to be in the NFL, he needs to be a TE or HB. The only one I have heard that doesn't think he can is Flutie.

Could careless about his personal belief system, that's his business not mine, but I would put him in Black and Gold, like now. Shoulder chip a plus!

    Get him!

TE's? We don't need a TE, nor someone who has never played the position. Paulson has come on and Heath will be back.

Tebow. Take your lack of QB skills and go to Canada. The guy who drafted him could not rally the troops to keep him in NE.

This is a throwing league. He can't throw. Well except for a floaters against Ike Taylor.

That's warm and fuzzy he is a great person, but that doesn't make you an NFL caliber QB which he isn't.

He believes he is a QB and QB only.

Move on with your life's work Timmy.

I doubt he can make it in the CFL as it is even more passing oriented than the NFL. That also rules out the Arena League. I'm sure he's a really nice guy, but it's time to get on with his life's work as missionary.

Sounds like you may have had that experience, BFT?

Just messing with you, friend. I like Tebow personally and appreciate the fact he's not ashamed of his faith. What the Broncos managed to do with him at QB had more to do with divine intervention than his skill as a QB. And beating the Steelers in the Wildcard game was a low point in our franchise's history. Was it a coincidence that his GM. JOHN Elway and his coach JOHN Fox let him go out there and fling it and he threw for 316 yards and averaged 31.6 yards per completion?

Let's not forget (how could we?) that this is the same QB that torched the Steelers for 316 yards and 2 TDs (no INTs) in a playoff game. At the time, it didn't seem like a big deal. But now that we see who Tebow really is, has there ever been a more embarrassing loss by the Steelers in the post-merger era? I'm hard-pressed to come up with one.

Was it a coincidence that it happened against a Tomlin-coached team? That might be the answer to a trivia question decades from now.

I'm not sure where this TE stuff came from. Tebow doesn't have the size and blocking ability to play that position; at least, it doesn't appear so.

With his familiarity with the Jets and Patriots, I'd be surprised if he don't land (at least temporarily) in Buffalo.;)

he's only 2 inches shorter then Heath and 20lbs lighter. 2 inches isn't a big deal and he could put on some weight. The idea comes from the fact that he is a great athlete, he could probably learn that quicker then fixing his throwing.

I think some of you guys would have cut Bradshaw his first training camp because he basically sucked wind when he first came into the league. At one time, NFL teams and fans didn't expect a QB to play right away but only after they'd had time to develop and learn. Now it's about instant gratification and since Jones doesn't look like the second coming of Ben right away he's a worthless piece of trash and we need to cut him NOW. REEEDICULOUS!!

I'm still trying to figure out how we lost to such a terrible qb. Dick Lebeau should be ashamed. But I guess every dog has its day.

why should dl be ashamed? In case you've forgotten it's a team game. We didnt lose to tebow we lost to the broncos. A team with a very good defense and running game. We took that healthy team to OT with a gimpy ben, a #2 rb, #2 safety, #2 de,#2 nt, 2 hobbled olb, and a piece meal ol.

All true but DL game planned terribly for him, basically showed Tebow as little respect as he has gotten in some of these replies. You and I could have hit some of those receivers. Still, DL has no reason to be ashamed, he played the run and dared Tebow to beat us with his arm, and he did, gamble lost.

If given the chance Tebow would be another Steve Young. Trade big ben for some high draft choices.
